I'm using a progress bar control on a .NET Windows forms application under VS 2010. Every time I change the value property of the control to cause the progress bar to advance, it repaints the whole control, not just the part of the control that needs
repainting. This causes flicker, which looks really bad. Is there an easy way to prevent this? I saw some articles with inconvenient solutions such as deriving another control from the progress bar, and/or painting the control myself, but
I'm hoping there's a simpler solution that I'm missing.
