Touch isn't just a form of mouse input in Silverlight: Sometimes what's required are controls specialized and optimized for touch.

Multi-touch has progressed from being a futuristic prop of sci-fi films to a mainstream means of user interface. We'll show you how support for multi-touch in Windows 7 has filtered down and settled into various areas of the .NET Framework.

I've seen some of the answers but nothing is really working - here is the issue, I drag a small image to a Silverlight browser application I created and it uploads to my server just fine - I then try and do this for a larger file - in this case its a .xap
file that's bigger (100K). And I get an error "The remote server returned an error: NotFound." I know some default limits exists - 64K maybe
What I did do was use a Silverlight enabled WCF service (won't be using RIA) - but I hit this problem immedatly. So I decided to browes for an answer (yes, I've seen Shawn Wildermuths site and other answers) - I added a <system.serviceModel> section
to my web.debug.config and added some settings I pulled off the web (still ramping up with WCF) and "assumed" it would fix the problem. Here are those settings
<serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" />
<serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="false" />
I am developing a WPF 4.0 application to be deployed on a Windows 7 Touch machine.
During initial testing, I observed that TextBox control supports the virtual (on-screen) keyboard by default. However, the PasswordBox control does not seem to support the virtual keyboard.
I could not find any properties on PasswordBox to enable the virtual keyboard. Also, there isn't any guidance available online. For now, I assume that virtual keyboard has been disabled for security reasons.
Does the PasswordBox control support the virtual keyboard? If yes, please let me know the details.
Appreciate your time,
One of the ways in which a multi-touch interface attempts to mimic the real world is by introducing inertia. We'll show you how easy this is to duplicate in your own WPF apps.

Many of you might have noticed that the WPF DataGrid looks very blah compared to the Silverlight DataGrid.
Here are the WPF DataGrid
Screenshot and Silverlight DataGrid
See how in the Silverlight DataGrid the lines are better, there are alternating row backgrounds and the selected row also looks better.
I am surprised the WPF DataGrid doesn't use the same styles by default as the Silverlight.
Has anyone styles the WPF DataGrid to make it look like the Silverlight DataGrid and if so can you share the templates with me?
Or is there a built-in theme in WPF DataGrid that looks close to the Silverlight DataGrid?
I don't know if this is a problem with my new Toshiba Laptop, or the VS 2010 IDE. Sometimes when dragging my finger across the laptop touch pad, the text in the IDE will be reduced to a really small font. This is so aggravating as I do not know why this happens or how to fix it. Does anyone have any idea what is causing the problem and how to fix it?
