Query Correlation faliure using custom Request/Reply Message Contract classes.

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 08, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Windows Application
Hi,I have a service which is correlated by a Guid query. When I'm using designer created Message Content/Parameters feature for message definition, everithing working lika a charm. But If I define custom [MessageContract] Request/Reply classes (where request class has Guid SvcUID property for correlation), and choose'em as Message Content in the designer with proper CorrelatesOn definition of course, I have got a service exception about correlation query faliure. Have you folks tried to apply your custom [MessageContract] classes for correlated communication?

Context Correlation initializer / Request-Reply Correlation initializer

My guess is that these two correlation initializers are only useful for context based routing using the existing context bindings. However, it is not clear for me what is the main difference between them, and when I should use each one (the main scenario for them). Could someone provide more information about this ?

How to implement custom HttpContext for each request under class that implements IHTTPHandler

Hello All,

I created an application and implemented IHTTPHandler for all incoming request ending with ".aspx" extension.

Under "ProcessRequest" module, I am creating an instance of HttpContext (with URL attributes different from my application's URL i.e. if I am working on localhost then speciying Yahoo.com as its URL) and assigning it to "context" which comes as method argument.

After redirection, an error is generated. Also, the custom HTTPContext is not passed to the requested page (default.aspx, in my case.)

Code is as follows.

    Public Sub ProcessRequest(ByVal context As System.Web.HttpContext) Implements System.Web.IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest
            Dim requestedUrl As String
            Dim targetUrl As String
            Dim urlLength As Integer
            'Save settings which will be used while redirecting to appropriate page
            requestedUrl = context.Request.RawUrl
            If requestedUrl.IndexOf("?") >= 0 Then
                targetUrl = requestedUrl.Substring(0, requestedUrl.IndexOf("?"))
                targetUrl = requestedUrl
            End If
            If targetUrl = Nothing Or targetUrl.Length = 0 Then
                targetUrl = requestedUrl
            End If

Smart Cleanup: Achieve More Reliable Resource Management with Our Custom C++ Classes

Managing resources in C++ is not easy. When you're unsuccessful, your app can leak all kinds of resources including file system handles, database connections, and, of course, memory. Even in garbage-collected languages like Managed C++, resource management is difficult because garbage collection only deals with memory management, not the other resources that cause performance problems.In this article, the author describes the SmartAny template library he created, which uses a policy-based approach to dynamic resource management. Readers will learn how to use the SmartAny classes and policies to ensure the proper cleanup of their resources, be they files, OS handles, or native and unmanaged objects.

DateTime custom managed property search fails with " Your query is malformed. Please rephrase your q

I've created a front end search page in Silverlight 4 for SharePoint Search.  Currently we are using WSS 3.0 + Search Server Express 2008 (v  The page interacts with the MOSS version of the search web service at:   <site collection>/_vti_bin/search.asmx The reason for this approach is the unique way the requirements specify the look and behavior of the results.  The built-in Search Center page or web parts will not satisfy these requirements. We are going into production but I still cannot figure out how to search against my custom managed properties that are of Type DateTime.  If I cannot get this to work, it is a showstopper. I've tried numerous variations on the SQL Syntax and cannot get it to work.  I know the error is in the date portion of the WHERE clause since I can remove it and searches work fine. Here is a working query: SELECT Size, Rank, Path, Title, Description, Write, RequestSubmittedDate, DocumentType, RequestPromisedDate, ProblemDescription, DatePublished, RequestOwner, RequestingDepartment, DocumentAuthor, ProjectNumber, ProjectDescription, RequestStatus FROM scope() WHERE CONTAINS ('"nmr"') ORDER BY "Rank" DESC yet if I try to use a date literal in the WHERE clause as in the following query modification, I get the "malformed"

How to Add Custom SOAP Headers Into The Server Response Message in WSE3.0?

Hi Dear All, Assuming I am the service provider, may i know how many ways are there to insert a custom header into the server response message? So far I tried several ways, and it can be done in custom SoapFilters (by playing with SOAPEnvelope object), and SoapExtension (SOAPMessage object). Just wondering if this could be done at web service class by specifying a SOAPHeader attribute, just like adding a SOAPHeader into the SOAP request message at consumer side? If can, it might be much smarter than SoapFilter and SoapExtension.   Thanks in advance!   Best Regards, Charles

MessageSecurityException "Identity check failed for outgoing message" when using custom endpointaddr

Hi! I am currently developing a WCF service which will use ASP.NET Membership and RoleProvider as authentication/authorization. I followed the description in on this page http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff647294.aspx to do this, and everything works as expected when I try add a reference to my development service and uses that without any interaction. But, I want to be able to override the enpoint address in code since the server may be placed on other servers, but when I do this in my code (with the same enpointAddress stated in the client wcf file for testing purpose) I get a MessageSecurityException with this information: "Identity check failed for outgoing message. The expected DNS identity of the remote endpoint was 'localhost' but the remote endpoint provided DNS claim 'MyCert'. If this is a legitimate remote endpoint, you can fix the problem by explicitly specifying DNS identity 'MyCert' as the Identity property of EndpointAddress when creating channel proxy." I have search the net for information about this, and found that the only thing I had to do was to add a <dns value="MyCert" /> to my client wcf configuration, and everything should work. But it doesn't, I still get the same error. My server behavior configuration looks like this: <serviceCredentials> <serviceCertificate findValue="CN=MyCert" />

Custom List: Request updates quarterly

I have a custom list of clients. Each client has an owner (person or group column).   I need to be able to request an update each quarter from the person listed in the owner column. What is the best way to achieve this?

Problem with Content Query Webpart and Custom Userfields

Dear Community, I am using Sharepoint 2007's content query webpart to access content types from 2 lists each contained in a different sitecollection. To achieve this, I used this tutorial: http://www.heathersolomon.com/blog/articles/CustomItemStyle.aspx. The tutorial worked great. By using the property CommonViewFields and modifing the XML Stylesheets accordingly, i could access almost every field. Even User Fieldtypes like editor and author were accessible by adding (editor,User) or (author,User) to the CommonViewFields property. But when I tried to access the custom made userfield "Username" in the same way (adding Username,User to the property), the webpart threw an error and couldn't be displayed anymore. When I changed it to Username,Text , no error occured but it naturally didn't show up, since it is the wrong fieldtype. I hope some of you can help me, since all my researches on this topic only brought up some more people with the same problem, but no solution to it. Thanks in advance, SoundofSilence

Custom Classes for Tabs Control

I want to apply a custom class to the header text of the tabs. However, the documentation indicates that all I have to do is supply a custom class to override the default. The font is being changed as expected but it appears that all of the other classes are being overridden as well. .CustomTabStyle .ajax__tab_tab { font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 10px; } . <ajax:TabContainer runat="server" CssClass="CustomTabStyle" ActiveTabIndex="0" Height="150px" Width="690px" style="margin:5px"> <ajax:TabPanel runat="server" HeaderText="Contact Information"> <ContentTemplate> Contact Information Here </ContentTemplate> </ajax:TabPanel> <ajax:TabPanel ID="TabPanel1" runat="server" HeaderText="Miscellaneous Information"> <ContentTemplate> Miscellaneous Information Here </ContentTemplate> </ajax:TabPanel> </ajax:TabContainer>

Urgent Query Request

Hi Guys, Task of my package is to move FolderA csv files only to separate folder. However, the business rule is to move only those files which are matching in FolderB csv files. But I have to read the file first and get the distinct on Date Column and StoreId. Now, I build package using two foreeach loops one for folderA and one for folderB. Now in side the foreach loops I got dataflow where the files got read and using sort I removed all the duplicates and dump into temptableA and temptableB. My temptables column names are  DestinationFileName                                           Source PluSales_119809_20100421040237              \\fw-sql01\E\PROCESSED_FILES\PluSales_119809_20100421040237 PluSales_119809_20100421040237              \\fw-sql01\E\PROCESSED_FILES\PluSales_119809_20100421123456 Source column is actually a strFileName mapped in foreeach loop.   After loading the files, I am using execute sql task query for matching files and non matching files then using foreach loop and file system task I am moving files to separate folder.    Assuming, after completion of dataflow task,  each file dumped 2 distinct records with same storeID and different source name as

show a "no results" message if a db query returns nothing

I inherited some C# code behind that queries a database table and need to add something that displays a "No results" message (using a Label web control, perhaps) if the query doesn't return any records. I'm just learning C# but am coming up short on how to do this. Would anyone be kind enough to point me to an example, or demonstrate? Thanks a lot. Here's the code I inherited (the programmer who wrote this is no longer available). This is the code behind from the search results page:using System; using System.Text; using System.Data; using System.Data.Common; using System.Data.SqlClient; using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Web; using System.Web.UI; using System.Web.UI.WebControls; namespace Maine_Innkeeper_Site_2010 { public partial class lodging_search_output : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { string sql = Session["logdingSearchSql"].ToString(); SqlCommand cmd = common.openDatabase(); cmd.CommandText = sql; string PreviousTown = ""; try { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); SqlDataReader rdr = cmd.ExecuteReader(); sb.Append("<ul class=lodging-search-initial-results>"); while (rdr.Read()) {

Obtain url query string during Json request

So I'm writing an MVC application, and have a JsonResult post back to obtain some item information for scanned items on a warehouse application I am writing. I'm trying to obtain a URL query string value though, and cannot seem to obtain one via the normal 'Request.QueryString['variable']' way... Is there a way to do this? I also thought about just passing the parameter into my post, but I already have a single value on my jquery post, and I am unsure if I can tack on more values to this. Thanks for your help.
