I need help with imagebutton links

I have imagebuttons as links and i added the attributes for mousedown, up and out. That works fine.  I cant seem to figure out how that the imagebutton itself, when pushed, stays down and returns to normal when the user clicks another link....

what I was thinking of doing is calling a method on the onclick event of the button and letting it check whether there is another button pushed down then to send the found link button to its orginal state.

I figured doing the call and checking of the buttons would be long winded with the method, so there must be an easier way to do this ?

EventReceiver does not fire for other users than Administrator

Hi all

My code adds a EventReceiver to some SPLists. When I log into Sharepoint as Administrator, then the EventReciever is fired.

When i log in as an other user, it does nothing.

My current code is this:

string assm = "Minimizer, Version=" + FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(Root.Res.DLL).FileVersion + ", Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=d2d19387a15c363f";
          string cls = "MinimizerPlugin.Minimizer";
          l.EventReceivers.Add(SPEventReceiverType.ItemUpdated, assm, cls);
          l.EventReceivers.Add(SPEventReceiverType.ItemAdded, assm, cls);

What can I do to register this EventReceiver to all users?

Thanks for your help!!

Suppress postback on ImageButton

I have the following JavaScript defined for the OnClientClick event of an ImageButton:

var _oHasChanged = $get(_chkHasChanged); if (_oHasChanged && _oHasChanged.checked) { alert('De gewijzigde gegevens moeten worden opgeslagen alvorens deze actie kan worden uitgevoerd.'); return false; }

As you can see, I have "return false;" after the alert, because I don't want a postback in that situation.

This is working just fine in Firefox, but Internet Explorer seems to ignore the "return false;" bit and posts back to the server anyway.

What am I missing here?

Hello there,I have a small website where I want to display a confirmation dialog after clicking on a button.When you click the confirmButton the dialog appears. Then you can choose between Yes or No to either continue with the PostBack or to return.Problem: The first time you get into the site all works fine. But after you click Yes to continue with the PostBack, no click event will be triggered anymore.Here is some code.<asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server"> </asp:ScriptManager> <script type="text/javascript"> function loadConfirmDialog() { //Dialog configurieren jQuery('#confirmDialog').dialog({ autoOpen: false, width: 400, modal: true, resizable: false }); //Dialog öffnen jQuery('#confirmButton').bind('click', function () { jQuery('#confirmDialog').dialog('open'); return false; }); //Postback ausführen jQuery('#continueButton').bind('click', function () { jQuery('#confrimDialog').dialog('destroy'); __doPostBack('confirmButton', ''); }); //Postback abbrechen jQuery('#cancel

Custom event does not fire

Hello,I have a base server control class for all my user controls. Inside this class I have the following declaration:#region Event Handling Management public event EventHandler ItemSaved; public event EventHandler ItemCancelled; protected virtual void OnItemSaved(EventArgs e) { if (this.ItemSaved != null) { this.ItemSaved(this, e); } } protected virtual void OnItemCancelled(EventArgs e) { if (this.ItemCancelled != null) { this.ItemCancelled(this, e); } } #endregion Concrete user controls used in the application are used always inside a ModalPopupExtender object and the popup it is always handled with server-side code. This means that there are no controls binded to the OkControlID and CancelControlID properties of the ModalPopupExtender.The responsibility to show the Modal Popup is then given to the aspx that has code like thisin the ASPX file...<gsl:PhoneNumberUC ID="ucPhoneDetail" runat="server" />in code behind...protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { //Bind to the event handler ucPhoneDetail.ItemSaved += new EventHandler(ucPhoneDetail_ItemSaved); ucPhoneDetail.ItemCancelled += new EventHandler(ucPhoneDetail_ItemCancelled); } } protected void btnNewPhone_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { //Show the Modal Popup this.mpePopupPhone.Show(

Can't get target of BindingOperations.SetBinding to actually fire its bindings.

Let's say I have a user control named 'MyControl'. MyControl is used in a Window as follows: <MyControl SelectedName="{Binding Target, Mode=TwoWay, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" > ... </MyControl> The SelectedName property in MyControl is a dependency property that's declared as follows: public static readonly DependencyProperty SelectedNameProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("SelectedName", typeof(string), typeof(MyControl), new PropertyMetadata(string.Empty)); public string SelectedName { get { return (string)GetValue(SelectedNameProperty); } set { SetValue(SelectedNameProperty, value); } } Within MyControl is a TreeView and I want to bind the TreeView's SelectedItem's Name property to MyControl's SelectedName (we can assume that a selected item will always have a name) . To do that, I've added the following in MyControl's constructor: public CubeAssetsTreeViewControl() { InitializeComponent(); var treeViewSelectedItemBinding = new Binding("SelectedItem"); treeViewSelectedItemBinding.ElementName = "myControlTreeView"; treeViewSelectedItemBinding.Mode = BindingMode.OneWay; var treeViewSelectedItemNameBinding = new Binding("SelectedItem.Name"); treeViewSelectedItemNameBinding.ElementName = &

imagebutton, sub signature, by ref

Hi Below is my codeThe first 3 lines are run in the DataList1_ItemDataBound event and they call the sub below, of which there is the opening line.My question is if I change the signature from System.Web.UI.WebControls.Image toSystem.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton this still works and vice versa so it'll work in the found control is either a imagebutton or image.1. Can anyone explain why it does work fine either way?2. The ByVal ImgProfile As System.Web.UI.WebControls.Image, should this be ByRef, aren't controls passed by reference rather than value?Or I am getting this mixed up. The reason why I say this is I can modify the image control that's passed in and if it was passed by value then I shouldn't be able to modify the control, or should I?Dim Image1 As ImageImage1 = CType(e.Item.FindControl("ImageButton1"), Image)DisplayImage(UserID, Image1)Protected Sub DisplayImage(ByVal pUserID As String, ByVal pImgProfile As System.Web.UI.WebControls.Image)thanks.

GridView EditTemplate DropDownLists' Loads fire before SelectedIndexChanged events on AutoPostBack=

My GridView allows EditTemplate but no DataSource in the aspx page. I set the DataSource & DataBind in code behind. My problem is with 2 of the 4 DropDownLists: they require AutoPostBack=true b/c the load of ddlDptmtGrid is dependant on the selection from ddlOrgGrid, and the load of ddlPosGrid is dependant on the selection from ddlDptmtGrid. The problem lies in that every postback calls each ddl's load & then the SelectedIndexChanged event, by this point the SelectedValue has been reset or wiped. And i can't use "if (!IsPostBack) { }" b/c the initial click of the lnkEditBtn is a postback & the DropDownLists don't even exist till in Edit Mode, so i need this initial load. But it appears on every postback all the controls in Edit mode are wiped & re-initialized, so it forces each DDL to be re-declared & re-loaded, but then the SelectedValue (which caused the postback) cannot be remembered?<asp:GridView ID="gridPendRoles" runat="server" CellPadding="5" AutoGenerateColumns="False" BackColor="#CCFFFF" BorderColor="Black" BorderStyle="Solid" onrowdeleting="gridPendRoles_RowDeleting" onrowediting="gridPendRoles_RowEditing" onrowcancelingedit="gridPendRoles_RowCancelingEdit" onrowupdating="gridPendRoles_RowUpdating"
