Anonymous Access to "Event Export" on sharepoint calendar display page

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 08, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint
I am using a SharePoint calendar with events added in the list. When an anonymous user tries to use "Export Event" on the display page ,the user is prompted for a login. Is there a way that an anonymous user can download the .ics file without logging in ? Is anonymous access even possible ?

SharePoint 2010 new site collection display blank page

I'm using Windows Vista SP2 and trying to learn Sharepoint 2010. I'm new to Sharepoint and I'm sorry if I'm asking something very simple. I've successfully installed Sharepoint foundation 2010 and VS 2010. According to the installation instruction if the installation is successful I should see the new sharepoint website home page or ask for login info which will take to the home page. But for me it displayed a blank web page. I was able to get to Sharepoint Central administration page by clicking the browse option from IIS, it asked me login info and when I provided that I was able to see the Sharepoint central administration page. Now I am trying to create a new site collection, it is succesfully creating the new site collection and showing the link, but when I access the link I see a blank webpage. I think it is some permission issue and if the program prompts login, it should work, but how can I get to the login window or how can I see the home page and not a blank page? Thanks

Add Calendar through code to page SharePoint 2010 - help

I am add a calendar to a page through a feature.  How do I set the view to be 'All Events'.  Currently the page gets rendered with the calendar in full graphic mode (showing all days in the month). Inconvenient SharePoint 2010 Content Query Web Part and Anonymous Access

Morning every one

I am hoping some one has found a work around regarding this.

I am using a JQuery random 'quote' generator (http://nextconnect.blogspot.com/2009/12/jquery-random-quote-viewer.html) in my site.I have enabled full anonymous access. My issue is that it still prompts you for the login in order to see the quote generator. I have tried the "ViewFormPagesLockDown" fix but it isn't even activated on my site. And now I am at a complete loss. I did some googling (Read 5 hours) and it seems that in Sharepoint 2010 doesn't have a work around for this and I am really hoping I am wrong.

Any ideas?

Have a great friday :)

SharePoint 'Open with Access' - > 'Link to data on the SharePoint site' does not display data wi

Here's the scenario:

- I have a custom list in SharePoint 2010 with approximately 30 columns and 450 rows

- When I got to 'List Tools' -> 'List' -> 'Open With Access', I have two options 1) Link to data on the SharePoint Site and 2) Export a copy of the data

- If I select either option, I am able to view the items in my list in 'DataSheet' view and in the bottom right of Access I see the 'Online with SharePoint' text

- If I select the PivotTable view and drag in a column to either the row or column option, I have not seeing my data if I choose option #1 above (Link to data on the SharePoint Site).  I am able to see my values if I select option #2 above and view in PivotTable view

- If I click the 'Refresh Pivot' button in the ribbon still no data.

- If I got back to datasheet view, I see my data

Any ideas?

Any suggestions

SharePoint 2010 Anonymous Access or work around

I have found the necessary steps to permit anonymous access; however, it does not seem to work with a site running off of Central Administration (I am guessing there is a security feature that does not allow this).  Is there a way to grant anonymous access to a site running under the CA web app?  If not, is there a way, in the user permissions to a particular site, to grant access to anyone that tries to access?

Sharepoint 2010 external anonymous access

Am I correct that to allow external access to a Sharepoint 2010 site (through TMG 2010) without a login prompt I have to have claims-based authentication enabled.

If this is the case can someone tell me how really to change the authentication from classic to claims on an existing site collection? I have found two suggested methods.

SharePoint Calendar and Access 2007

I have a SharePoint site with a SharePoint calendar that I am trying to develop an Access 2007 front end for so people can Add/Edit the events on the calendar through Access.  It takes about 30 secs to connect to the sharepoint site and I am trying to find a work around utilizing Access.

I clicked on 'Open with Access' from the actions button on the calendar and created a linked table to my SharePoint calendar .  I have created an add/edit form within Access 2007.  My problem comes when trying to connect to the SharePoint calendar table from within an Access form to update the SharePoint calendar linked table.  If I open the SharePoint calendar table, I can edit the individual records and then recync.  I was trying to automate the process by having the users edit/add events to the form but when I try to update the SharePoint Calendar, I get an error message stating Access can't find the SharePoint Calendar.  I can't even find the SharePoint calendar table listed in the Linked Table Manager.  So this tells me that maybe I can't automate the process due to this very fact.

I am looking for some solutions/answers.  I keep reading different books on both SharePoint and Access but no one seems to have crossed this bridge before.

Thank you

Display files (where we dont have access to) in Search Results- Sharepoint 2007

Is there a way in which we can make the sharepoint search result display- files where we dont have access to ?

The requirement is that-

There are many files stored in document libraries which are either "Shared" or "Confidential"

Now normally The Confidential documents are not displayed in the search result of sharepoint search. (Since access to those files are denied)

Is There a way in which we make these files appear in the search result ? However when the user clicks on the URL/Title of the file the "Access Denied Page" is displayed (If the user doesnt have access).

This is because we dont want the files (Which are declared confidential) to be re-created.
