Processing hangs

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 08, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server
Hoping someone out there knows this error or possibly can help me to find out the reason. We have a SQL Server 2008 relational Database as the source for SQL Server 2008 cube. The cube will be processed by a SQL Server job using XMLA command. <Batch xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine"> <Parallel> <Process xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ddl2="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine/2" xmlns:ddl2_2="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine/2/2" xmlns:ddl100_100="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2008/engine/100/100"> <Object> <DatabaseID>MyDbName</DatabaseID> </Object> <Type>ProcessFull</Type> <WriteBackTableCreation>UseExisting</WriteBackTableCreation> </Process> </Parallel> </Batch> Our environment is: Windows Server 2008 SP2, x64 MS SQL Server 2008 Enterprise SP1 VM-Ware Maschine Processor: AMD Opteron 8381 HE (QuadCode 2,5GHz) Memory: 8 GB The problem is: sometimes (not always) the job step for processing hangs until we restart the analysis service. The CPU is not busy, no error entries in windows event log, no entries in msmdsrv.log (Analysis Services-Log), n

Processing screen hangs when I am trying to create a new site collection

I am trying to create a new site collection in Sharepoint 2010 (installed on Windows Server 2008 Standard). I followed the below steps:

Central Administration -> Application Management -> Create site collections

I created a new path and entered all the required details.

When I say OK at the end, it takes me to the processing screen and that's it from there it hangs without giving me any error.

Please let me know if anyone had faced this error before.

We never had any issues before. I created couple of site collections before and had no issues.

Please let me know if you need additional information.

how to impose javascript event processing?

If I have some form control like textbox and I want the event handler to be located in the html instead of at the server side, how to do that? Of course I can copy paste javascript code in the aspx file. But is it possible to do that using some object oriented approach (ie programmatically in the code behind)?

Image processing, determine white space and crop

I have created a image upload for our ID card system to allow users to upload new images, edit them and submit for approval.  This is all working well with a combination of asp.net (c#) and jquery to give a seemless editor etc.

We have had a few users who I cannot believe have scanned a photo of themself and then just submitted it with the A4 page of white and little photo.

I am wondering if anyone can help with a suggestion on how I could possibly reduce the load of these coming through (I can't believe they can be this stupid), it stipulates UK passport standards.

Would my only option be to check for a single continues colour that occurs and if it reaches a certain percentage point say 60% then to just send back an error stating they need to crop the image.

Can anyone help with providing sample or that I can use to move this one on.

I am still in disbelief on this one.  the other one is they take a photo of whole body and other in it and cut straight down middle chopping the people out but supplying a photo that no use for an id photo card....but that I can't imagine being solved programatically as I need to determine where their face dimensions are and what percentage of the actual photo is taken up by it and if it below a threshold reject it.

Easy image processing(grayscale, sepia, negative, resize, brightness, contrast and opacity)

Howdie y'all,

I see a lot of questions in this forum about resizing images. Recently I created a code sample(with downloadable webapp), right here.

The class (downloaded or created) allows for very fast and easy processing of your images. And a lot of problems over here can be solved by simply using that class. I thought it might help to mention the code sample in this forum as well.

HTTP Pipelines: Securely Implement Request Processing, Filtering, and Content Redirection with HTTP

ASP.NET is a flexible and extensible framework for server-side HTTP programming. While most people think of ASP.NET in terms of pages served, there is a lower-level infrastructure sitting beneath this page model. The underlying plumbing is based on a pipeline of app, module, and handler objects. Understanding how this pipeline works is key if you want to get the most out of ASP.NET as an HTTP server platform, while making your process more efficient, and keeping your server secure. This article introduces the architecture of the pipeline and shows how you can use it to add sophisticated functionality to an ASP.NET-based app.

there was an error processing the request

 Hi, I implement a project which has a ajax plus web service. It works out on IDE VS 2008 Express.

Now I host it on a free space, get an error "there was an error processing the request".

The error type is empty.

Any experience is thankful.

Nintex Workflow Error: No workflows are waiting for a BizTalk message [...] No processing has been d

I created a Workflow with Nintex Workflow 2007 (on SharePoint 2007) to send/receive data to BizTalk 2009. It worked fine already. But now I get the following error mesage in the EventViewer:

Nintex Workflow; Build: 11000 (http://ls457/_layouts/nintexworkflow/BiztalkHandler.ashx)
No workflows are waiting for a BizTalk message with message Id of 'GeneralAccessRequest_2010-08-23T15_00_04_44961212B370C554EDFAC41C1201ED6CEFB' on teamsite http://ls457/sites/testapp. No processing has been done.

What could that mean? Any ideas? I definitely changed nothing on the orchestration or BizTalk administration. The BizTalk action sends the data correctly to it's destination (database), but it seems that nintex doesn't receive any return data. I don't think it's a BizTalk problem, because in the BizTalk Message Tracking Database the Message is listet, so it has been sent correctly by BizTalk. But the handler probably has problems to find/receive this message.

Kind regards,

PHP Programmer new to ASP - Simple forms processing

I have created several forms in HTML for a project that is to be deployed to a SharePoint server. I need to create a few SIMPLE pages that will process the data from these forms and then redirect the client to another page.

As a test I hoped to create a simple script on the target page to print out the field names and contents

In PHP I would simply create a file containing the following:

foreach ( $_POST as $key => $value ) {
        print "$key = " . htmlspecialchars(urldecode($value)) . "<br />";
        if ( is_array($_POST[$key]) ) {
                foreach ( $_POST[$key] as $subKey => $subValue) {
                        print "$subKey = " . htmlspecialchars(urldecode($subValue)) . "<br />";

I had hoped I could do something as simple as the following on the SharePoint page, perhaps:

<script runat="ser
