If there is less data than the period value for the calculated series then the entire chart does not render and I get the ugly message 'Formula error - There are not enough data points for the Period'. Reducing the period to an artificially low value
to prevent the error is pointless really. The period value cannot be formula driven so what options are available for at least displaying the normal values, or perhaps paramaterising the period value?
I need an advice about the layout of a multi-series stacked chart (which I hope is the correct way to realize my report). The data I need to draw has the following structure (aggregations have already been calculated in the database query due to the high amount
Date Priority Value
2010-09-19 A 48
2010-09-19 B 50
2010-09-19 C 45
2010-09-19 TA A 11
2010-09-19 TA B 18
2010-09-19 TA C 2
2010-09-19 Total 143
The chart must contain Date on X axis, the Value on Y Axis and stack in the same chart area 7 different graphs according to priority field:
- 4 must be line graph (Priority = A, B, C, Total)
- 3 must be column graph (Priority = TA A, TA B, TA C)
Here follows the way I conceived the chart:
- Date field goes into Category Groups
Does anyone have any references around optimizing the initial processing time for a data mining model? Books, blogs, etc. I have the Wiley “Data Mining with
SQL Server 2008” book, and while I’ve learned a lot from it, it doesn’t seem to cover much around trouble shooting things like processing time. I also have a few other books that have a chapter or two on data mining, but again just basic
“here’s what it is and how to set it up”, nothing that quite covers trouble shooting or optimization. I’ve also checked out the various Data Mining blogs/sites.
I’ve got a Microsoft Time Series model I’m basing on a Cube. Very simple, trying to forecast sales. I have one dimension which is the list of products
(about 1600), a second which is the time dimension, finally the measure is daily sales figures for each, about 3.2 million rows in total. On a brand new server, with two quad core processors and 16 gig of ram it took 40 hours to process. Seems rather high?
Visual studio 2010 and SQL Express 2008 with advanced series Hi I recently found out that you can only do full text indexing with the advanced series of SQL Express and I managed to download and install it on my machine. My question is how do I integrate it with Visual studios 2010 so that I can do the full text indexing ?When I installed SQL Express with advanced series 2008, it created an instance of SQL Server management studio so im wondering if I have to do it there and then move the database into my project or if I can do the full text indexing from inside my projectAnyone's help would be much appreciated

I have successfully produced a line graph containing 2 data series; a count of events by month and a moving average (5 month period) of said events.
My problem is trying to limit the chart to show ONLY a certain period of time. In order to generate the Moving Average (calculated series) I had to make the query go further back in time to count the previous months' events.
For Example: Chart should display Jan2010 through Oct2010, EventsPerMonth (series1), MovingAVG (series2).
At first it displayed back to the begining of the data which was Sept2009 - Oct2010. I figured out how to cut it off at Jan2010 using the Horizontal Axis Properties > Scalar features.
Final issue: I need to get the first data point (Jan2010) off of the Y-axis as a starting point. Basically I need to shift it one interval to right, leaving a space, so that
there is no line connected between the data line and the Y-axis.
This is difficult to discribe, I apologize if this isn't super clear.
I am having problems with a user control. I want my solution to have a separate project for holding my user controls.
The main project can get a reference to this user control project and can import this user control dll into my main project.
Thanks in advance,
