Windows Sharepoint Foundation 2010 - Document Library Settings with Reporting Services 2008 R2 in in

I have a client who has recently upgraded their SharePoint system to Windows Sharepoint Foundation 2010 with Reporting Services 2008 R2 in integrated mode. I have configured reporting services and am able to deploy reports to SharePoint. The client created a document library before the upgrade to WSF 2010. I need to add Report Builder 3.0 to the New Document menu and found the following article. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326289.aspx "Allow management of content types?" is set to yes under the advanced document library settings. The problem is that when I try to "add from existing site content types" the reporting services content types are not in the list. I appreciate any help you can give me.

SharePoint 2010 and Reporting Services 2008 R2 Integration Fail - Failed to establish connection wit

We have installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition on a virtual server (C-SQL) and SharePoint Server 2010 on another virtual server (C-SPOINT), with the SQL Backend of the SharePoint database residing on C-SQL. This worked fine.

SQL Server was installed with the domain administrator account and SharePoint with an account called 'visi' that has domain administrator privileges.

SSRS on C-SQL was initially installed as a native database. I changed this to a SharePoint integrated database with all authentications done as the visi user. Report server url was set to the normal http://C-SQL:80/ReportServer/.

On the SharePoint central administration site under General Application Settings -> Reporting Services Integration I filled in the details as required:

Need a little help.  Here is the error message I recieve when trying to add the Reporting Services URL in Central Administration

is possible use reporting services in Sharepoint Foundation 2010 if I have installed SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM - Express with Advanced Services? I tried various settings and configurations, but it not works (I am not able successfully configure Reporting Services Integration in Central Administration).

SSRS 2008 R2 and sharepoint 2007 report builder problems

I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend.  Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint.  The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could find.  The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.

I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application

however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt  which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.

Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work?  did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in?  The above is the only problem i am having now.

all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu

How to upgrade from Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 to SharePoint Foundation 2010 after mistanely de

I need a detailed instruction on how to upgrade From Upgrading from Windows SharePoint Services 2.0  (SBS 2003 ) to SharePoint Foundation 2010.

    Background of the case:

I have all my databases (STS-database and STS_Config) saved but, I forgot to save my Virtual Site )Companyweb site) and I mistakenly re-installed IIS on the SBS 2003, hence  I lost the companyweb site. Is this an issue to migrate to Sharepoint foundation 2010. The Sharepoint foundation 2010 is running on a Microsoft HyperV Server 2008 R2
Also, I have created a Virtual 2003 SRV ENT with Sharepoint Services 3.0 running on it. I also have attached my Databases STS_Database and STS_Config)... how do I get it working like a regular website. I have modified the CNAME record to reflect the new server... http://companyweb - it take me to the new site but it loads a blank page. I did create a new CompanyWeb Virtual site on the VHD 2003 server.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your prompt response. Nelson

Cannot add SQL Server 2008 R2 Report items to SharePoint Server 2010 document library

Using account which is the primary parent site administrator, can upload RDS and RDL files to the document library (however, cannot open report). User is also a domain admin with SA on the database instances. Cannot add Report Data Source with "New Document" icon. The permissions granted to user '[domain]\[user]' are insufficient for performing this operation. Under "Site Settings", "Managed Shared Schedules" fails with same error. Attempting to deploy from BIDS results in the same permissions error. Sharepoint Server 2010, Report Server 2008 R2. RS and SP databases hosted on remote server (SQL Server 2008 R2). All connections (SharePoint services, RS services, users) except SQLAgent authenticating to remote SQL Server with Kerberos (all SPNs look correct). Single site, site collection "/". Document directory called "Reports". Windows Integrated Security (Negotiate). How would I troubleshoot/solve problem?

Sharepoint Foundation 2010 problems with Office 2007 ActiveX controls

I have a SPF server that I recently upgraded from WSS 3 using the database attach method. The new server configuration is SQL 2008 R2 with SPF 2010 on Windows 2008 64bit SP2. Mostly things are working fairly well, though there have been a few fires to put out. The latest inflamation seems to be centered around ActiveX controls for Office 2007. I'm getting the following message whenever I try to create a new document using the New button: " 'New Document' requires a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible application and web browser. To add a document to this document library, click the 'Upload Document' button." On the client side, the browser is IE8 on Windows 7 (Windows is 64bit, though the browser is in 32 bit mode.) using Office 2007. I've also had the same problem with systems running XP. In terms of troubleshooting, other activeX related features seem to be working fine. I can open datasheet views, if I click on a document, it will open in the appropriate client. However, I have some libraries where the Word document template opens the document information panel and those will give thhe following message on open: "One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either: 1)Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on thi page , or 2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the contols. SharePoint 2010 Reporting Services report on sharepoint list rsExecutionNotFound

I cannot get SQL Reporting Services 2008 R2 to work with a datasource that is a sharepoint list.  Reporting services seems to work fine setup in SharePoint 2010 Integrated mode. When I try and run a report that is based on a sharepoint list, I immediatly get the following error: The report execution tp15sp4515l3seqqo4do3e45 has expired or cannot be found. (rsExecutionNotFound) This seems to be something I am doing wrong with the sharepoint configuration, I would guess.  I haven't tried a regular database query, but they used to work when reporting services was configured for native mode.  So I assume this is just a problem connecting to sharepoint 2010 lists, with the new SharePoint 2010 List connection type. Edit This has got to have something to do with a permission setting for the app pool account of sharepoint.  I read something once where it said you had to grant it permissions, but every guide I've found since then doesn't mention anything about it. This log entry is where the problem seems to be occuring, I just don't know what permissions to give TESTDOMAIN\spweb which is the app pool account. library!ReportServer_0-3!1bdc!09/01/2010-09:58:03:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ReportServerStorageException: , An error occurred within the report server database.  This may be due to a connection failure, tim

Upgrading to SharePoint 2010 Foundation on SBS Server 2008

Hi all, I've just tried to install SharePoint Foundation on 2010 on Windows Small Business Server 2008 and whilst the literature I've found suggests that this is supported, I receive the following error: SharePoint 2010 Products cannot be installed in Stand-alone mode on a Domain Controller.  For more information on upgrading, see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=975805. What's funny about the KB ID, is that it doesn't exist.  The pre-requisites for SharePoint 2010 Foundation installed OK and the SharePoint installer has detected that it will perform an in-place upgrade.  the STSADM -o preupgradecheck output is below. Any idea's?  It would be really great if we could start using the shared workspace and ribbon features that are inherent with SPF2010. Jason.

Problems installing SQL Server 2005 Integration Services for Server 2008 R2

I am trying to install Microsoft Forefont and i have got a tick on every requirement bar 1. I can't install SWL Server 2005 Integration Services Component. I am running windows Server 2008 R2. I have tried numerous steps such as going into to control panel and adding component but the Integration services is not appearing on the options. Is it actually possible to install 2005 integration services on server 2008 and if so how? Thanks

Migrate from SPS 3.0 to SharePoint Foundation 2010 on SBS 2008

Good news is a white paper and technet article came out on how to do this.  Bad news is that it had a significant error, and when I downloaded to follow, it was the day before the correction. I have finished the migration almost, but there are some issues that manifest itself on IIS and in trying to attach the saved configuration database. When I launch SPF Management Console, I get a warning message that"the security token service is not available." I also get two application event log postings, the first an error and the second right after a warning as follows: Event ID 8306 Category Claims Authentication.   Description: An exception occurred when trying to issue security token: Could not connect to http://localhost:32843/SecurityTokenServiceApplication/securitytoken.svc . TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it . Monitoring and moving SharePoint foundation 2010 database on SBS 2008

I have successfully followed the white paper for upgrading SharePoint Services 3.0 to SharePoint Foundation 2010. Other than an authentication link problem all went smoothly.

I do have two small problems. The Small Business Server console reports that SharePoint is not functioning (it is functioning as I can connect to the site), this is more a nussance as my daily reports are inaccurate and I hope if this is normal there is or will be a hotfix to repair the reporting. This also comes to the second more serious problem.

In upgrading the process moved the database from it's own drive back to the system drive. I should have payed more attention to the directories in the upgrade process. Live and learn. Since the reporting is wrong in the console the move database wizard also does not work. Knowing that SBS gets cranky when things aren't done with a wizard or in a super specific order, is there a proper way to move the database? I am beging to get the long list of warnings as the drive fills up.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Report Builder 3.0 unable to access SharePoint Foundation 2010 Report Server

I am having a terrrible time getting this to work. I have configured the SharePoint site and the SQL Servers involved to use Kerberos. That has been confirmed working.

I then configured the SharePoint site's Reporting Services integration (trusted account), enabled anonymous access and enabled report builder. I can launch report builder without any issues at all. The problem comes when I try to save my report. When Report Builder is started Items->New-ReportBuilder Report it opens and display in the lower left hand corner "No current report server." When I close the Wizard dialog and click connect I enter http://server.fqdn.net and I receive the following error:

    Connection failed:

Unable to connect to the server that is specified in the URL, 'http://servername.fqdn.net/'.

Make sure that the server is running, the URL is correct, and you have permission to use the server.

I have also tried http://servername.fqdn.net/reportsserver/. When I try that I receive a login prompt. When I enter my credentials it tries for a few seconds and then sends another login prompt. I installed the report server using default settings. The reporting services db is on the same server as sharepoint. The configuration and other databases are on a remote S

    SharePoint 2010 Foundation - Standalone - SQL Server Express 2008 R2 - Moving databases to another d

Setting up a new install who will be using SharePoint Foundation 2010 in Standalone mode. They do not have SQL SERVER 2008 so need to utilize the Standalone option and the latest version of SQL Server 2008 Express R2. They are just getting started with SharePoint and it is unknown how much the technology will be embraced to afford to purchase SQL Server at this point. I wanted to get that explanation out of the way before everyone tells me the best practice of installing in Farm mode only! I realize the best practice but sometimes we have to roll with the punches because getting a client to begin using SharePoint on their current budget is better than never getting the chance to use it at all.

So SharePoint Foundation 2010 is installed with the default SQL Server 2008 R2 Express instance. Is there a procedure for moving the databases to a new drive? What is the default instance name that is created? I'm having a hard time locating that information in the documentation. I've done this before with WSS 3.0 without issue but wondered if there were any documents on moving the newest databases and what the default instance name is. Thank you in advance.
