Hi All, I am trying to delete a file from sharepoint it show error like this: <Result ID=\"1,Delete\" xmlns=\"http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/\"><ErrorCode>0x80070005</ErrorCode><ErrorText>The operation failed because an unexpected error occurred. (Result Code: 0x80070005)</ErrorText>

Error while deleting the file from sharepoint

Hi,

when i am deleting the file from sharepoint the ID which is generating is not cleared, i.e if i have uploaded 10 records in the sharepoint after that i am deleting the 1 st records and i have to upload the new record to sharepoint,then the ID should be 10 only na but it was showing ID 11 in the sharepoint.how can i make the count to 10 or if the count has any limitations in it.

Hopefully someone can help with this. I'm using Sharepoint 2010. On the server I have manually created a folder in the "Shared Documents" folder called "bin" and uploaded a file into this folder If I attempt to access the files in this folder using the Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.File.OpenBinaryDirect function, I receive the following error: A first chance exception of type 'System.Net.WebException' occurred in System.dll: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.SPWebRequestExecutor.Execute() at Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.File.OpenBinaryDirect(ClientContext context, String serverRelativeUrl). File Not Found error sharepoint

Hi, I have downloaded two site templates from another site collection.I have uploaded these site templates to another site collection. Trying to Use these custom site templates in the current(another) site collection.When i click on create... i'm Getting "File Not Found" error. Any Idea?

Error "Can not reach the Messages.xml file!" when deleting a web

When I try to delete a web from a site collection I get the following error:

Can not reach the Messages.xml file!

I cannot delete any webs.

I have searched for other with this problem but not many results are returned.

Anyone else seen this error message before?

I deleted a couple of databases fron SQL after recreating the service application. I am getting event log errors ID 3760 that these db's are unable to be located.

I am migrating custom workflow which was running in moss 2007 to SharePoint 2010.The approach was i created a new Sequential workflow project in VS 2010 under sharepoint . then i copied my Workflow files.Removed old refernces to 12 hive and updated to 14 root.

I could successfully buid this project.Then i have added Module project item called 'Forms' where i placed my Intiation form which is a infopath published form to nework location.

I could package and deploy the solution.But facing an error while Activating the feature.the error is The file or folder name contains characters that are not permitted. Please use a different name.

Any help will be highly appritiated

Groove and Sharepoint Workspace 2010 - error during binary file store initiatlization.

I had groove and now have sharepoint workspace. I had groove get hung up for a couple of hours and finally shut down my computer. I got a "error occured during binary file store initialization" message. I tried deleting and clean up all of the groove files but no luck. I now have Sharepoint Workspace. The message I get is "SharePoint Workspace is unable to continue because an error occurred during binary file store initialization." Any coaching is appreciated.

I followed these steps.,

Ended the aspnet_wp.exe process in the Windows Task Manager
Then deleted the application`s folder in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\
Then started Visual Studio 2008 again

I also rebooted my system but no use....

Sharepoint alert error

Hi,

Something strange is happening here. I have a list whose itens alerts are not sending, but iclusion or permissions alerts for the same list are ok.

The strange is: I search for a fix, then I restarted the Windons Sharepoint services Timer, reset the alerts by stsadm tool (stsadm -o setproperty). the timer job status is ok too. and I just receive this error for this list, ONLY for this list...the other list I can receive the e-mails normally.

Can someone help me?

Insert image into Infopath form and save to SharePoint as PDF file

I have an InfoPath web-enabled form in MOSS 2007, that is integrated with a K2 blackpoint process for an approval workflow.

Once the form (a Purchase Order request form) has been approved in the K2 workflow process, I switch the form view to a "print-friendly" view for the requestor to view from the browser. However, now I need to go one step further with this scenario:

1) I need to somehow insert/embed an image with the scanned-in signature of the approver (likely stored in a SP doc library) at the signature line section of my form. Also, what are the security requirements for storing such images, but not granting all users access to these (e.g. only services accounts that need to access this for embedding into the form, etc.)?

2) Then I need to convert this final "print-friendly" view of the form (with the signature image) to a PDF document so that I can store it in SharePoint (and email it to the requestor using K2's email event capabilities).

Can anyone help me with a solution to both of these requirement, or point me to some resources for this (even 3rd party components are open-game).
