Hi All,   When I try to publish the form onto a SharePoint Team site it throws the error: The following URL is not valid : http://tcs037288:6543/sites/projectmanagement   I have checked the comaptibility, trust and everything looks fine. MOSS 2007/InfoPath Form Services Error

We are using MOSS 2007 with InfoPath Form Services and receive this error in our event log when trying to submit a form.  We increased the Maximum size of form session state to 16384 and continue to get this error message on large forms.  We are not allowing attachments.  We are running MOSS 2007 version

Getting error while retrieving data from sql server 2008 to infopath 2007 in sharepoint 2007

Hi, I have created an InfoPath form in InfoPath 2007. In this form I am getting data from SQL Server. To do this I have created data source for SQL Server 2008’s Tables. I have created 4 connections for 4 tables. When I am previewing this form from InfoPath Designer 2007, it is working. But when I am publishing this, it is giving me an error ‘Can not update content type’. If I skip this error then my form published but when I open this form from Share Point 2007. It gives me an error:   There has been an error while processing the form. Click Continue to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors. Click Start Over to load a new copy of the form.   An error occurred accessing a data source. An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server. Log ID: 6932 G. Goyal

InfoPath 2007 - Publishing Creates multiple columns on SharePoint Form Library (GUIDS apparently are

I have been working this issue for 2 days now.  This has happened to me in the past and I was able to work through it.  It doesn't appear that this time I am going to be so lucky. Issue Description: When publishing an InfoPath form a new column is created that has the same name as the correct one, but a new GUID is created. Troubleshooting steps: I have read this article: http://www.delphi-ts.com/blogs/lozzi/post/2009/06/03/Duplicate-site-columns-in-MOSS-from-InfoPath-Forms.aspx   This was the solution the last time I had this problem.  However, no matter what I do, it is not working now.  I have a column named User Name which is the username of the person that submitted the InfoPath form for use with my Visual Studio workflow.  When the workflow kicks off, it reads this column and attempts to get the value.  The value is blank because a new column with the name User Name now exists and that is where the value is stored.  I attempted to fix it by remapping the GUIDs as described in the article.  I also reverted the code to a previous version from TFS.  None of these worked.   I now have 3 columns called User Name and I can remap the GUID to the second column and third column.  But when I try to map it to the first column (the one I need) it doesn't work. The first column that is circled is the correct column.

There has been an error while loading the form - The following file is not a valid InfoPath form tem

We’re experiencing quite an odd issue with opening forms within a SharePoint form library. These are the symptoms;

We recently published a newer version of an InfoPath form, and have since received some feedback that the form no longer opens in the “View Properties” view of SharePoint.

Rather interesting though, within the standard view all form instances can be opened with no problem.

The reason this has to work within the “View Properties” view of SharePoint is because we have a workflow that is sent, with a link to this particular page.

This is the error message that is displayed;

Infopath 2007 form error - Selected file is too large

We are using Inforpath form to capture some metadata along with couple of file attachments. We implemented that and its working fine

When we tested by trying to upload file more than 5 MB we got the following error

"The selected file is too large and is causing the form to exceed the amount of allowable resources. Select Another File"

During its analysis we found that this can be resolved by changing one of the "Infopath forms service " configuration named "Maximum size of form session state".

Is there any issue (like performance issues) in increasing this limit to allow us to upload the large attachment

In other words

In the Maximum size of form session state text box, type the maximum session state size in kilobytes. Form-filling sessions that exceed this value will terminate, an error message will be generated, and all form data entered during the session will be lost. The default value is 4096 kilobytes.

If I make this value to 10240 kilobytes (10 MB) ; will this cause any performance issues ??

updating content type failed during publishing Infopath on MOSS 2007

Hi Folks,
I am new to MOSS & Infopath-2007. I want to publish form on MOSS onto Document Library not as Content Type. Last week, i published form successfully, but suddenly since last thursday, I am not able to publish - it gives me "updating content type failed" error. :(
I am publishing with Domain Trust, no certification is sign (actually, not required in my case).

Thereafter, I tried creating new template with single button/textbox, but it gives same error.
Today, i tried with blank form, it failed again with same error.

I tried creating Form library from Infopath form as well as from MOSS, but no help.
doing Googling, i only got 2 solution - timeout or too many columns added from infopath - but in my case there are only 3-4 columns i want to publish.

I tried below links, but no help:

Create an Infopath form to generate unique number MOSS 2007

I created an infopath form that would auto generate a number to each form from following instructions at the following site.

I am wondering if it is possible to change the starting point of the ID field within sharepoint.  It starts at 1.  I would like it to start at 1000. and add 1 number each time a new infopath form is added. Or would I add a different field to accomplish this.

Infopath 2007 form Submit error - Web client

I have set up a Infopath 2007 forms server
and published an Form that submits to a Web Service.
On the same server, On a different port.

If I load the form in the InfoPath Desktop Client, the form submits just fine.

However, if i load via the web browser i get a "An error occurred while the form was being submitted."

Any Ideas?

how do i get more info on this error?
There is nothing in the event viewer.

Q: How to print out background color in InfoPath 2007 browser form under MOSS form service?

Hi InfoPath experts,

I am trying to print out a custom InfoPath 2007 browser form using "Print View" function offered by MOSS Form Service. It seems like the all background color formats has been stripped out when printed out. Interestingly, only font colors are remain the same in printed-out.
Is there a way to fix this issue? I know you can change the settings: http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/infopath-help/print-background-colors-and-pictures-HP001095710.aspx , but it only applies for InfoPath Client Form, not browser-based Form!

Any help are appreciated!

Cannot upload administrator approved template InfoPath 2007 form: error "The 'ResetWebServerModeOnU

I've tried uploading several administrator approved InfoPath 2007 forms (including a totally blank form) to MOSS 2007 server, and all of the forms return an error on upload:

"Solution manifest for solution 'e38fa6a4-56ad-4d92-b87d-0e73bb5162ff' failed validation, file manifest.xml, line 2, character 84: The 'ResetWebServerModeOnUpgrade' attribute is not declared."

I've looked at the source files of the form, and can't find the 'ResetWebServerModeOnUpgrade' property in any of those files. I've searched and haven't come across anything mentioning this issue. I found an MSDN article explaining what 'ResetWebServerModeOnUpgrade', but I have no idea how to get that entry into the form. This is the only way to publish this form because of a specific data connection, so just publishing into the site directly from InfoPath is not an option.

Attempt to download MOSS 2007 document results in server out of memory error

A user contacted me regarding a problem he was encountering. He had several .txt files in a sharepoint document library that he wanted to "move" to a linux file server.  He initially changed the doc library's view to Explorer View, then attempted to drag and drop the icons onto a non-sharepoint location. Then he got to the larger files (he has files up to 90MB) . At this point , he got the error

Can you embed an Infopath 2007 form with MOSS 2007 in an Outlook 2010 email?

MOSS 2007, Infopath 2007 and Outlook 2010

Is it possible to embed the Infopath Form in the email itself.

I read this link (point 1) http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath/microsoft-office-infopath-2007-top-10-benefits-HA010165024.aspx, but I have been unable to do this?

Do you have to have Infopath 2007 on the client machine to be able to do this?
