"Not enough storage is available to process this command" exception on BitmapSource.Create

Hello all,

i've been developing an application that uses Directshow Sample grabber to take snapshots from a video capture and to show it in a WPF control and save it to a local file. I'm using VS2010. Every thing went fine in the development and tests, except when i tried the app in a non-development computer with Windows 7 installed. I caught this exception on application logs:

System.ArgumentException: Not enough storage is available to process this command.  ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x88982F8C): Excepção de HRESULT: 0x88982F8C

   em System.Windows.Media.Imaging.BitmapSource.Create(Int32 pixelWidth, Int32 pixelHeight, Double dpiX, Double dpiY, PixelFormat pixelFormat, BitmapPalette palette, IntPtr buffer, Int32 bufferSize, Int32 stride)

The code that generates this exception follows

Pass Command to Running Program?

I have a Windows Form app written in C# and I would like a way to close the app from the command line without killing it.

Is there a recommended way to do this gracefully?

Perhaps I can pass a command to the running app to tell it to shutdown?

Every self-respected programmer should include exception handling techniques. Sometimes your application will generate an error. Regardless of who was responsible for this error, the programmer or the user, it is up to the first to include the necessary exception handling techniques to keep his/her program from crashing. The .Net environment provides useful techniques for avoiding disastrous errors such as try-catch statements and user-defined exceptions.

Global Exception Handling with ASP.NET

After your global exception handler has done its work, you'll want to redirect the users of your website to a friendly page that tells them that something has gone wrong, and then provide them with customer support information as well as a link back to your web application's home page.

SQL Server 2005 Try and Catch Exception Handling

I'm pretty excited to see that there is some real error handling for T-SQL code in SQL Server 2005. It's pretty painful to have your wonderfully architected .NET solution tainted by less-than-VBScript error handling for stored procedures in the database. The big difference being the addition of TRY..CATCH blocks. Let's take a look:

Show grand total running total in GridView Footer

In many scenarios we need to display Running total as well as Grand total in GridView footer. In this post i will try to explain in an easy way that how we can display running total & Grand total in a GridView footer combindly. To explain this solution using an example here i use a sales order report. The report contains all sales order amount in a tabular way. I will use a GridView to display sales order amount and use GridView footer to display Running total & Grand total. Let we have a customer table with id and name column plus an orders table with OrderID,CustomerID,OrderDate & Amount. Now our goal is to show all customers order with amount as well as page wise running total & grand total. Note that running total is necessary when you enable paging in a GridView where as Grand total is always you can consider.

Row command working on all rows not selected one?

I have this code that hides a column in a gridview.  (The column houses another nested gridview).

    Protected Sub GridView1_RowCommand(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewCommandEventArgs) Handles GridView1.RowCommand
        If e.CommandName = "Select" Then
            If GridView1.Columns(0).Visible = False Then
                GridView1.Columns(0).Visible = True
                GridView1.Columns(0).Visible = False
            End If
        End If
    End Sub

The trouble is that if I click the select link on one row that action to hide is carried out on all rows.  How can I set this up so that it only hides the row that is selected?

Client script not running

Dear all,

in my MVC 2 application, and in the shared Master Page I wrote this little script for menu handling :

<script src="../../Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () {
     $('#nav li').hover(
         function () {
             //show its submenu
             $('ul', this).slideDown(100);
        function () {
           //hide its submenu
            $('ul', this).slideUp(100);

The script, that shows menu items when the

Print command

Is there a way of setting up a print area for a part of my webpage, I only want to print a certain part of the page, when I select print at the moment it will print the whole page and the layout is rubbish!!

Very Basic Question - Error message running first page

Hi Everyone,

I am running Windows 7 and I have gone into Control Panel and activated all of the IIS Functions.

The web application I am running was downloaded from the net (and has worked on other machines previously).  Once I downloaded it, I moved it into C:/inetpub/wwwroot/code/main.asp

I am a bit of a novice at this!  But I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction!

I get the following error when I try and run the web application through IE:

"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator. If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error."

(When i click the "click here" button it just goes to the IIS site).

Appreciate any help I can get!
