I am planning on changing the name of the administrator account in Windows for security purposes. I plan to follow kb 816109 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816109/en-us) to use Group Policy to do this (we are running W2003 on servers). My
question is, will this affect anything in regards to SQL. I have SQL2005 on a member server and normally use Windows authentication for Sql SMS and SQL services. I can see username is filled in as 'domain/administrator' and is greyed out so it
cannot be changed...if the administrator account is renamed through group policy, will Windows authentication still work with the new login name or will it only work with account name 'Administrator'?
