"Sub Grouping"

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 07, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server
I want to pass the value of a field in a group (that value being what its grouped by) as a parameter to another stored procedure/dataset which is in that group. Thus, each group instance would call the stored procedure/dataset passing it the value for that group. So taking a group by profession for example it might operate something like: "Manager" count of managers: sp_count("Manager") "Operator" count of operators: sp_count("operator") I am not sure this can even be done, when I started it turned out what I was thinking of was a subreport. So in my case very much like passing a parameter from one report to the next report execpt I want to do it from one data set to another dataset. Sorry I have to be vauge and I can not post exact code besides it would confuse the matter in my view.   Thanks for any help
