Updating an InfoPath Form Library Template breaks preexisting SharePoint List Views

When updating an InfoPath template (e.g. adding a new field), any views I have created on the library lose their filters and sorting, as if the columns on which they were built no longer exist.  Has anyone else encountered this and, if so, is there a solution? V/r Noelle

Cannot publish InfoPath 2010 form template to SharePoint Server 2010 RC

Hi all, I am MSFT in Vietnam. I created a SharePoint list using InfoPath 2010 RTM 64bit. After publishing it to SharePoint 2010 RC, I see an error message:  Click on button "Show Details" the message is The list schema does not match the schema of this form. Refresh the data source and publish the form again. When I create new item based on published SharePoint list, I can see plain form not browser enabled InfoPath form. I checked InfoPath Form Services, everything seems to be good. What should I do to publish SharePoint list from InfoPath 2010 to SharePoint 2010 as browser enabled form?

Create approval in infopath form

Hi, i am currently doing approvals by submitting an infopath form and creating a task for a user.

I would like to create an approval system that can be done all from within the infopath form.  An approver would receive an email with a link to the infopath form.  From there they would be able to view the form and approve there in the infopath form services web form.

Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

InfoPath cannot open the selected form

I have been working on an InfoPath 2007 form for a week. It is actually a form I started from scratch to replace an existing form that had some weird stability issues for which there was no hope of a fix. The new form was working and previewing great until this morning when, for no apparant reason, it decided to start giving me the infamous "InfoPath cannot open the selected form" error when run from Visual Studio.

I clicked the "Was this information helpful?" link and responded "No", so I am sure that Microsoft has its best people scrambling for a fix; however, in the meantime, has anyone ever actually successfully fixed this error without starting over when clearing the cache (http://msdn.itags.org/microsoft-office/78856/) doesn't help?

Adding Controls dynamically in the infopath form - A standard Expense Entry scenario

I am having a requirement where I need to create an Expense Report Entry form using Infopath 2010.

1) The form would have pre-defined columns/Controls like Exp.Type(drop-down) , Details , Location, Amount , Curruncy, Date etc..

2) User can enter/update as many line items as possible by clicking Add/Update/Delete for the each line items. So basically its like adding the same row dynamically.

3) When User Submits, I need to capture this data and post it to SAP where I am using SAP web Services.

Can you please suggest if this is possible in InfoPath form ?

If Yes, how can I achieve this dynamic line items functionality in InfoPath

And how can I read the data using the code so that I can Post it to the WebService?

Deploy infopath 2010 form template to MOSS (saved as Infopath2007 format)

I saw this post on another site and this happened to me as well.  I am trying to create a web form with controls, chose WebForms for Infopath2007 and changed the code to C# for Infopath 2007 and tried to deploy the form to the Infopath forms solution in Central Admin and was unable to do so.  any suggestions?

I have an interesting issue while deploying a VSTO enabled form today. For

some odd reason while performing stsadm -o verifyformtemplate -filename

foobar.xsn, it returned a "FatalError : The form cannot be converted because

it was designed for a later version of InfoPath Forms Services.".

Has anyone else tried deploying a InfoPath 2010 form with managed code in a

MOSS environment?? I'd hate to go back to InfoPath 2007, I love the new

ribbon. :D

infopath template on wss2.0 sharepoint site has been deleted - how to open infopath forms?

Hi All

Is there any way to open infopath forms (from a sharepoint site) if the template has been removed?

I have a case where infopath forms (xml files) have been saved to a sharepoint site, but the templates (xsn files) have been deleted.

Some users are still able to open the infopath forms and I'm guessing it is because the templates are cached on their workstations.

The problem obviously comes into play when a new user or user with a new workstation tries to open the infopath forms.

Any ideas how these files could be opened?

Published InfoPath Form will not open from AAM URL

We have a couple InfoPath Forms that work great when accessed from the Local Intranet.  However, after configuring the site for Internet access as well, using Alternate Access Mappings, the InfoPath Form will not load.

For example, when attempting to create a new instance of one of the Forms from a Library where the Form is setup as a Content Type, it forwards to an address using the Local Intranet URL - obviously not accessible from outside the network.

ie. Secure "https://site.domain.com/" site is connected to from the internet, but when trying to create a new Form, it forwards to a "http://server/" address and results in a Page Cannot be Displayed error.

Am I missing something in the AAM, or what could be causing this behavior?

How to design InfoPath form template in Sharepoint?

I need to implement an opportunity to design InfoPath form template by administrator in Sharepoint. It is required that he could add new fields to the form, hide, delete them. How is it possible to modify InfoPath Form Template in Sharepoint? What should I use for it?( an API, win32 or smth else, from code wich classes should I use?)

Provision an InfoPath form template in a content type, with "view in browser" option

Hi all.
I've to provision an InfoPath form template in SharePoint 2010 within a content type, and my form must be open in a browser.
The provision of the .xsn file and of the content type goes well, but my form always open in the client and not in the browser. Instead, if i publish my form from InfoPath 2010 using the "Publish" option and i select to publish my form within a content type, everything goes well. I can see the form in the browser.

Here is my code.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Elements xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/">
 <Module Name="OpeningJeans" Url="_cts/MY CONTENT TYPE" RootWebOnly="TRUE">
  <File Path="InfopathModules\MyForm.xsn" Url="MyForm.xsn" />

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Elements xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/">
<!-- Parent ContentType: Form (0x010101) -->
 <ContentType ID="0x0101
