Javascript to pass var in iframe to parent form

Why doesn't this form work when the button is clicked? It is inside an iframe. I sent the controls to an iframe from  a different website. When I hover my mouse over the Resubmit button, I can see the correct url in my browser bar. (lower left) This is the same one as the save button. Does the fact that the Resbmit button is in an iframe create a problem?  Is this a security issue?   I was trying to use the Copy url to clipboard button to copy the selected url in the dropdown to the clipboard. Then the user could paste it into the Recipcocal url field in the form and click the Save button again. (see picture) The form is on the page with the iframe. The copy button doesn't work either.  <form name="ctl01" method="post" action="http://www.link-exchangers.com/adv_links_addbycustomer.aspx" id="ctl01" target="hdnFrm"> <div> <input type="hidden" name="__VIEWSTATE" id="__VIEWSTATE" value="/wEPDwUaUXIyTcD6f05q0zIbv4QVbpto4s=" /> </div> <div> <input type="hidden" name="__EVENTVALIDATION" id="__EVENTVALIDATION" value="//2DwKU+M6MDwK8m8+dCQKy8rjSBwLD+aWMBALcwYfHCALrp+eHDwKggI3ODAKvtqqBBgKjs8y4CAKqiLHeDgK34agCBNfAteTeI3XoiXVXjCs/J0yEnNM=" /> </div>

Form Action Button to pass parameters through URL and how to fill a NewForm with them

Hi I'm trying to solve a bigger problem we have in babysteps, and I guess after days of searching and trying I simply need to ask for help. The big picture is, that we're trying to put a Form Action Button (via Sharepoint Designer 2007) above a custom DataForm DispForm.aspx which is supposed to navigate to a NewForm.aspx where the Title Field is supposed to be prefilled with a parameter from the DispForm and the user should be able to add information to the item before it is saved. I found several explanations from people on the internet, but nothing really worked. The first babystep would be to get the parameter through the button into the url of the new item.   < input type = "button" value = "Zugriff Beantragen" name = "btnFormAction0" onclick = "javascript: {ddwrt:GenFireServerEvent('__redirect={../Zugriff Beantragen 2/NewForm2.aspx?test={ItemID}')}" />   That's the code for my button. Somebody wrote that should definitely work because SharePoint is able to replace {ItemID} with the actual ID of the item. Well.... it kind of doesn't. What I get as the end of the new URL is exactly "...?test={ItemID}"   I tried with different names for the ID, I added an @ before those ... no change. I read somewhere about javascript.functionName() which should work with all parameters of the item, but

In a workflow, how do I pass the original library url to the task form?

Creating a workflow, where I need to display the originating library url (along with document name) in the task form.  I know that the SPWorkflowActivationProperities has the value (its itemurl), but how do I then make that available so that the task can see it? I tried to put it in the extended properties on the task invoking "createDocumentApproval_TaskProperties.ExtendedProperties["MyOriginalUrl"] = workflowProperties.ItemUrl;" but I dont see it when I open the Task form by using a Request.Params. Any help will be greatly appreciated thxRocky Sanders

Customize form to add new item - can i pass through a variable?

I have a list of issues stored in a SharePoint list.

I now want to store tasks relating to these individual issues.
Ideally, when a user is viewing the issue they can then click on an 'add task' link that will open up a new task, in a standard task list, and pass through the issue id into a custom field.

Any ideas?

Pass a SharePoint List Form value to another List Form

Hello in this example, a user is filling out a Training form and when i manually check the form and see if the Travel button was selected with a Yes, i then want to manually trigger a Workflow that will send an email to the employee that contains a Travel form, but i would like to pass some of the information form the 1st-Training form and i am building the email in the Sharepoint Developer Workflow tool so i do have access to all of the data from the 1st Training form via the "Add Lookup to Body" feature. So in this link in the email i would like to tack the Employee Name from the 1st Training form onto the the 2nd Travel form and then populate one of the fields on this 2nd Travel form called Employee Name:

http://sharepoint.afta.org/sites/AFT/operations/tracking/travel?@Employee Name={AFT/Bob Smith}.

Thanks very much for any pointers suggestions!

Infopath Form Services 2007 pass URL from one XSN to another without code

Is it possible to pass the current URL value in an opened Infopath Form to another Infopath form withouth using code? Basically I am trying to pass variables from one XSN to another & the requirements are such that I cannot combine the forms & I am unable to use C#.

Just wish I could get a handle on the Site Referrer value out of the box in Infopath without code. Javascript might be ok if I can embed it in the XSN file and then somehow call it from the XSN file on submit. Is that even possible? Or can this be done without code at all?

Pass data to new form with VB code

I want to be able to allow users to open a "Task" form from a "Project" form (neither is web-enabled).  Upon opening the "Task" form, I want to populate several "Task" fields with data from the open "Project" form.

The "Project" form already uses some VB code.

How to pass parameter in sharepoint form action "Navigate to page"

I'm new to MOSS 2007, currently working on the SharePoint form.
In the NewForm.aspx page, once user entered all the fields and click on the "save" button, the data will be save into the list and also i tried to redirect it to other page.

I read few articles on this issue, most of it is about redirect to same directory but different page. Example: Allform.aspx, Display.aspx or editform.aspx.

I wanted to redirect to different path page.
javascript: {ddwrt:GenFireServerEvent('__commit;__redirect={http://server/test/myForm.aspx}')}". This line works when i click on the "save" button.

Assume i wanted to pass a title parameter to directed page.
javascript: {ddwrt:GenFireServerEvent('__commit;__redirect={http://server/test/myForm.aspx?PageTitle_x003D__x007B_@Title_x007D_}')}  <=== this line not working, what i get from the directed page by using querystring is "{@Title}".

How can i pass the parameter to directed page and read the value?

Anyone can help me on this?

Regards
Jason

How to pass default values from assoc form to init form?

Hi,

On a workflow project that use infopath forms services, I was surprised that if the assoc form and the init form have same elements and group in the datasource, the values typed in the assoc form are "automatically" used as default values in the init form.

How can it be possible ? Even if the datasource looks like identical, the schemas namespace are not the same.

I did not see any "copy" values code (I'm not the originator of the workflow).

What's the magic ? Is there any documentation about this behavior ?

thanks,

steve

How can we pass a variable into a InfoPath form control ?

Hi there,

I have created a sharepoint (2007) sequential workflow using visual studio and as a task the user has to fill out an infopath form.

I would like to pass some text into a InfoPath form control. For example once the user open his InfoPath form task, a textbox control should be already fill out with values determined in the workflow code.

How can I achieve this ?For example in my workflow code I tried to set the values of the infopath control with ExtendedProperties. With this following code i can create a infopath task but i cannot fill the textbox control "Comments".

"Comments" is a datasource in my infopath.

  private void createReviewReadyTask_MethodInvoking(object sender, EventArgs e)

  {

   taskReviewReadId = Guid.NewGuid();

   taskReviewReadProperties.TaskType = 0;

   taskReviewReadProperties.AssignedTo

JQuery Validate plugin to validate a ASP.NET Form

The first time I used the JQuery Validate plugin, it did not work at all, see JQuery Validate odd behaviour with the ASP.NET Script Manager for reason, but perseverance and stubbornness prevailed and I finally created my first JQuery validated ASP.NET Forms contact form.
