FtpWebRequest - how to upload two files on FTP server using only one connection?

Hi I am using FtpWebRequest with option KeepAlive = true. When I upload first file I create ftp request object: FtpWebRequest result = (FtpWebRequest)FtpWebRequest.Create(""); I set KeepAlive = true and I do upload file. When I want upload second file I have to create new FtpWebRequest object using new URI FtpWebRequest result = (FtpWebRequest)FtpWebRequest.Create("");   I set KeepAlive = true and I do upload file. The problem is that I have to create new FtpWebRequest so I create new connection to FTP server (I have checked using netstat -b command that my application uses another port number for second file). Folders or folder like equivalent in SQL Server 2008 ? for packages & stored procedures ?

Hi,      Currently running SQL-Server 2000.  We have hundreds of stored procedures and DTS packages. We have so many it's becoming a serious challenge for names and such.  We were wondering if SQL Server 2008 has a way to 'nest' both the equivalent of DTS packages (SSIS) and stored procedures in something akin to 'folders'.  We know we have to upgrade one of these days but a version that would handle these would be much more attractive. Just getting this functionality would be worth whatever effort would be required to upgrade.   Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Can I upload email back to server

When I setup outlook to a re-formated computer at home. Outlook connected my personal email provider's server and automatically downloaded email, meanwhile removed all my email in the server!!! This is horrible function! I know that I should do advance setting and choose "leave email in sever" before finish. Dose anyone know that I can up load email back to server then I can access the email from other computer?   I really don't understand why Microsoft office has so many auto function, especially why I need to go to advance setting to avoid email delete!!!!!!!! Thanks,

copy folder from one server to the next using xp_cmdshell

Hello, I have to copy a folder from one server to another. I would like to use xp_cmdshell to accomplish this, but I am not sure if I have to create a batch file, or if I can just embed the commands right in xp_cmdshell. My DOS knowledge is limited, so I always dread these types of tasks. Any help would be appreciated and that you all in advance :)   DaveDave SQL Developer

Upload file to server or database

hi,I'd like to know how to allow user to upload file to the server in mvc 2 application. I haven't seen a very clear tutorial for this, at least not on this website. There is a movie database tutorial but that is simply a list of movies not actual files. What is the simplest method for uploading files, be they images or movies? Thank you for your time.

DataView upload save file goes nowhere. How do you set a folder to upload to? Dynamically?

I have a Dataview bound to Document Library with the New Document button enabled. It apears to upload but can't find the files anywhere. I don't have a Shared Document folder. How and where do you set where to upload the file? A specific folder would be nice and If I could make it dynamic tied to QueryString Ideal. Going a bit further, the library I'm bound to has many 3 digit numeric folders that are dynamically created when entries are added to another list. The page that is calling my dataview has a querystring that will tie into the folder I want to drop files into. Just wondering how I can dynamically set the upload destination. Currently this is the generated code: <input type="button" value="Save" name="btnSave" onclick="javascript: {ddwrt:GenFireServerEvent('__commit')}" /> <a href="javascript: {ddwrt:GenFireServerEvent('__cancel;dvt_1_form_insertmode={1}')}">Upload File</a> I have some other code that calls the classic file upload page that is working perfectly, but I'd really prefer the clean and simple UI of the DataView control if I could make it work. Thanks!

Accessing Client Devices & Upload to Server

I'm in the process of creating a ASP.NET page that will allow the user to upload PDF files stored on a CD onto the server. I have written a piece of code that checks for an .ini file and then goes into a specific folder that will save the PDF files to a folder I have specified on my computer. Now that works fine in localhost, but when I uploaded it to the server it stopped working.

I get a 404 error everytime I click on the button to upload. I suspect i'm not correctly accessing the client's cd drive because the path to their drive isn't correct.
