Hi, I've a simple lookup transform in SSIS 2008 (R2). I've created it with a full cache and it worked fine. Problem insert POCO to Velocity Cache

Hello,

I want to put POCO object to Velocity cache. How can I serializable ICollection to Velocity cache, or exclude ICollection from serialization?

I got this exception

Type 'System.Collections.Generic.ICollection`1[Model.Collection]' cannot be serialized. Consider marking it with the DataContractAttribute attribute, and marking all of its members you want serialized with the DataMemberAttribute attribute.  If the type is a collection, consider marking it with the CollectionDataContractAttribute.  See the Microsoft .NET Framework documentation for other supported types.

Thanks

ASP.NET Cache Problem ??

I'm having a problem with an asp.net 3.0 application using a gridview to display data.  The problem seems to be that despite a brand new .selectCommand being sent to the sqlDataSource, the gridview starts displaying data from *someone else's* query.  For example, user A is logged in and will be working fine until a few page submissions later when the gridview data starts suddenly showing information that belongs to another user.  This is my first asp.net application, though I've been working with classic asp and ADO for years so I'm used to sending a SQL string and getting back the results from that string.  Apparently there is a complex caching system which is interferring which I do not at all understand so at this point I just want to stop the server from caching any data whatsoever.  Is this possible? Any and all help will be much appreciated!!

HttpRuntime.Cache problem

I'm using the code below (a shortened version as a test). It is invoked on application start and collects data for use by the individual sessions.  The problem I'm having is it doesn't work on one machine but is fine on the other Is using .Clone the correct way of caching or is that the cause of my problems?   Public Shared Sub LoadGroups()                  Dim arrGroups As New ArrayList          for i = 1 to 100               arrGroups.Add("test" & i) Next        HttpRuntime.Cache("Groups") = arrGroups.Clone       Thread.Sleep(2000)  End Sub

problem with cache

Hi all,I have problem in cache. I have stored data in cache. and according value in cache i am navigating to respective page.but in following function it is not going to respected page.following is code snap. Cache["BizID"] = BizID;                                                         //Add Recommendation flag in cache.                             Cache["RcmdFlg"] = "True";                             Int64 rcmdID = Int64.Parse(this.GridView1.DataKeys[rowIndex][0].ToString());                             Cache["RecoID"] = rcmdID;                             Cache["srvcid"] = Int64.Parse(this.GridView1.DataKeys[rowIndex][4].ToString());                                                                   &n

Problem with custom onBeginRequest-Handler on client-side when partial postback is triggered from ja

Hi, I have a Modal Dialog with a Ribbon, which starts a long running serverside operation. To inform the user about the progress, I implemented Dino Espositos "Progress Monitor Framework", which worked perfectly (after some work) - at least when I trigger the partial postback from a control inside the UpdatePanel used for displaying the progress. In this approach custom onBeginRequest and onEndRequest-Handlers are used to start and stop displaying the current status of the serverside operation. When I start the operation from a Button on the ribbon by doing "something" with the mentioned control via javascript the serverside operation is started, but my onBeginRequestHandler ist not called and the progress monitor is not "switched on" on the client. Here is what I´m doing in my javascript :  function pageLoad() { progressManager = new VCSharePoint.MultiEdit.Progress(); // Remove existing handlers Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().remove_beginRequest(onBeginRequest); Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().remove_endRequest(onEndRequest); // Register handlers for UpdatePanel client events Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_beginRequest(onBeginRequest); Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_endRequest(onEndRequest); } // onBeginRequest() // Called w

Lookup Transform does not match on CASE

Hello all: I have a simple lookup table with  Code (PK, INT) and a Description (VARCHAR(100)) fields. There is a Unique Index on [Description]. There is an entry with [Description] = 'Other'. If I try to INSERT a value of 'OTHER' it will fail because of the violation of the UNIQUE Constraint. If I SELECT from this table WHERE [Description] = 'OTHER' I will get the one row with 'Other'. All is well and good, this is as it should be. I then reference that table in a Lookup Transform in SSIS, to 'lookup' the [Code] for any given [Description] coming down the data flow pipeline. When it encounters a value of 'OTHER' it does NOT make a match to the row with 'Other'. Seems the collation rules of SSIS are NOT respecting that of the SQL Server. Yes, I could always do a UPPER on both sides so as to switch everything to upper case, but I shouldn't HAVE TO. Is there anything else I could do to make SSIS think the 'Other' and 'OTHER' are equal, and therefore should be matched? cache problem

Hi all,Here is my scenario.In default.aspx page user selects the country, state, city from drop down list, and store them in cache for further use. but when other user open the web site  from other computer it shows the same country, state, and city selected by user 1. Is there any problem related to  cache? I have stored data as following.cache["ctryID"] = ctryID;cache["stateID"]= stateID;cache["cityID"]= cityID;I want to show  default country, state , city at page load of default.aspx how can this be done?Please help me

Lookup conditional caching possible? or flush cache as data changes?

Hi Forum

Is there any way to switch caching setting on the lookup up component on-the-fly? I have a lot of lookup components that I want to use full caching setting - some times I know that there will not be a lot of data - so N lookups or partial caching would be better. I could indicate this by using a variable  - I could use a conditional split to make 2 paths - I could make 2 different lookup components but these two cannot point to the next task in the flow since it seams that all data flow task only take one input path.

I could really also use a way to flush the cache when ever a row value changes. In this way I could order the data by Company, and have it use full caching but flush the cache whenever the company id changes. Is this in any way possible?

Thank you in advance

Jay

Lookup Transformation: Fails to match in full cache mode both fields same case and collation

Hi All

I am at wits end trying to resolve a lookup transformation issue where lookups fail to match in full cache mode.

Details:

1. BIDS 2008

2. Both tables are in the same db with the same collation (Latin1_General_CI_AI)

3. Both columns have the same collation (Latin1_General_CI_AI)

4. Both values are the same case

5. Both columns are varchar(9)

I'm not sure what else there is to check. I would prefer to understand what is causing the lookups to fail vs using partial cache.

Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks

[Problem] MVC DropDownList Cascading Partial View

Hi, i'm trying to implement a cascading dropdownlist inside a partial view.

this is the code:

js function

function dropDownListCascade() {
    $('#idTipoAntecedente').change(function () {
        $.ajaxSetup({ cache: false });

HttpRuntime.Cache IIS problem?

I get the leisure of debugging someone elses project in which a customer logins and gets their status page. Now this status page shows redeemed information, but the odd thing is if you refresh several times you could possibly get someone elses information. It just happens randomly to, but I would hit F5(refresh) and check it several times and it would be a completely different item and then repeat that it would be back to normal. I did this for about 2-3 minutes and it would be totally random. Now my question is he is using HttpRuntime cache to store this information at login and then retrieving them from HttpContext.Current.Session.  Is there a setting in IIS that could be causing me to get someone elses cached item?

Also there needs to be several numbers stored(up to 4) and pass to a few pages on the site. Is there a more effient way rather than using HttpRuntime.Cache and passing it a array list of a created Class Type?

Lookup field which allows multiple choice - problem when query with CAML

I created one simple list and added one column - lookup - I've chosen some source list and field, then marked "Allow multiple choice". I created new item in that list, by adding more than one valie to that coulm.

The problem is, when I use CAML query, that column has such values:

value1;#2;#value2;#3;#value3

and it's suppose to be like this:

1;#value1;#2;#value2;#3;#value3

do You have any idea, why it doesn't query first ID?

Cache Transform throws out-of-memory exception

I'm using a cache transform in a dataflow to reuse a large lookup ref data (around 1.5M records). However getting out-of-memory exceptions midway in the execution. I did monitor the memory usage and it was just above the 50% usage on the dev machine where I was testing this package. On the same machine, I then reverted to using the lookup cache with full cache. The lookup component did not throw any exceptions although the pre-execute took (as expected) around 15min. Is there a memory issue with the Cache Transform ?

Here is the exception:

Fuzzy lookup problem...same/duplicate records in the buffer,

Hi there,

I have a problem with a fuzzy lookup and I've been checking all the forums and not only that I can't find the answer but I can't even find other people having this issue although it seems to me that this would happen quite often to people using fuzzy lookup or even the regular lookup component. Here's the problem:

Lets say I have 10,000 records in the source database and I have 500 records (not really important) in the reference table that I'm using for the fuzzy lookup. Lets also say that the buffer size is 1000 records. Here's what happens, the first buffer will check if any of the first 1000 records (out of 10,000) is the same (or similar) to any of the records in the reference table and then based on the similarity value that I've set up (say .80) it'll either take a route "Existing" (if the same or is similar record exists in the reference table) or take the route "NonExisting" (if the incoming records is different than any of the existing records in the reference table or if the similarity value is below .80). The idea here is that if the records goes to "Existing" this record (which is a person btw) will be assigned the same PersonId as the same/similar person found in the reference table. If on the other hand record (person) ends up going to "NonExisting" it'll be assigne
