How to call a method with IDataObject in click event in wpf?

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 06, 2010    Points: 0   Category :WPF
As I'm new in WPF development, I came up with a problem, looks like simple, however, I couldn't solve. The problem is, how to call a method with IDataObject in a click event?? I've a method like:  public void setProperty(IDataObject obj)         {                                      PropertyGrid mygrid = new PropertyGrid();                        UIElement elt = ExtractElement(obj);             Type t = elt.GetType();             string name = (string)t.GetProperty("Name").GetValue(elt, null);             mygrid.Instance = name;         } I want to call this method in a click event. I don't know how to. I've tried but couldn't yet. Any help will be appreciated regarding this. Thank you.   Regards, Binaya

How to call a javascript click event from ASPx?

this is kind of wierd but I need to use behindcode or aspx code to call a javascript click event.  The reason is because, I have two controls.  One control is a javascript controls tabs.  The other control is a panel.  The panel has a bunch of controls and depending on which tabs are being selected, the panel will switch to panel1,2,3,4 depending on if the user click tab1,2,3,4.

I've got the upper part programmed by using a __doPostback to the update panel.

However, in this case, I need to program the opposite because when the user switches the panel, the tab must be switched.

So here's what I got when a user clicks the tabs:

<a href="#" onclick="easytabs('1', '1');__doPostBack('UpdatePanel2', 'Tab1');return false;" onfocus="easytabs('1', '1');" title="" id="tablink1">

So I need a server side function such that when a user clicks <asp:LinkButton> or something, it will also call "easytabs('1','1');

How to get Click event to work with checkbox

I am new to ASP.Net and I'm having trouble figuring out what needs to be where in my code.  I have a webform with 2 listboxes and 2 checkboxes... When I check checkbox1 I want listbox1 to be disabled and checkbox2 to be disabled.  Similarly, when I check checkbox2 I want listbox2 to be disabled and checkbox1 to be disabled.  The code does not show any errors; however, when I run the Page everything appears as it is supposed to but when I check the boxes, nothing happens.  What am I missing that will link the code on the .aspx.vb page to the objects on the .aspx page and make them work together?

Here is my code for Page1.aspx.vb:

Public Class LCPage1
    Inherits System.Web.UI.Page

    Protected Sub AllClients_Click(ByVal sender As ObjectByVal e

Catch button click event in different .aspx page.

I have a button which starts processing.
I want that when ever a button is click from page1.aspx .. a count down timer should start and displayed on page2.aspx.
I am thinking of using iframe to join 2 pages.

Please let me know your suggestions.

Call a web method in Javascript

Hi All,

I am first time working on web service and Javascript and trying to call a Web Method (web service) on a button click in Javascript.

What I want to achieve is as followed: When the button is clicked, call the web method, get the return URL value and store it to a session variable, the redirect the page to another page. However, this works only when the internet traffic is fast, it give me error when internet is slow as the Javascript is executed much faster than the web service. Is there any way to handle this?  Would be much appreciated for your help! Cheers.

Code as below:

function emailButton_onClick()

function getCurrentMapURL(getCurrentMapURLOnSuccess)
var proxy_url = 'WebService/GPSWebService.asmx/GetCurrentMap';

var response = map.print([proxy_url]);

function getCurrentMapURLOnSuccess()
emailAddress = document.getElementById('txtEmailAddress').value;

if(emailAddress != null)
alert('Do you want to send report

Binding an event method from a control in a seperate window

How would you bind a event method from a control back to a seperate window?  I have a ActiveX control hosted in a WindowsFormsIntegration wrapper.  That is operating in its own window along with all its events.  The properties of the control are handled by a class that defines the dependency objects (thanks Bob) to provide a view model between it and a window with controls for setting/getting those properties.  Since events constrained to Window 2, is it possible to bind the events back to Window 1?

OK button click on Windows dialogue form not triggering click event

I have created an Add-In for Outlook 2003 in Visual Studio 2005. When a new message is sent and a toggle button is selected, a form that I have created will be displayed as a dialogue box, where further information can be entered. Once this information has been entered you can click the OK button and the message is sent. If you were to click the OK button with invalid data in the form, there would be a message box with an error message. This all works perfectly on my development machine but when I have packaged the Add-In and installed it on other machines it does not work. Clicking on the OK button does nothing, there is not even an error message. All the prerequsits are successfully installed and this is the only part of the Add-In that does not work. All help greatly appreciated. Thanks Nick
