I am new to ASP.NET development. I noted that the design interface provided with visual studio 2010 is not very help ful in designing eye catching website. RPC and C++: Build a Template Library for Distributed Objects Containing Multiple Interfaces

Building a C++ template library for developing distributed object-oriented applications using Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) allows the programmer to design RPC applications that are composed of components that implement multiple interfaces. This article demonstrates the use of techniques such as assembly-level thunks to build machine code on the fly, and C++ features such as templates, conversion operators, virtual destructors and virtual function tables. Along the way, familiar C++ interfaces and classes are transformed into a distributed application. XmlSerialization with Interfaces

I'm trying to serialize a class that exposes a property as an interface.ÃÂ When I try to serialize the instance of the class the XmlSerializer throws an InvalidOperationException with the following message: {"Cannot serialize member SerializationTest.ParkingLot.MyCar of type SerializationTest.ICar because it is an interface."} This may seem like a silly question but is this true?ÃÂ I've never ran into this before and I use interfaces pretty extensively in my designs.ÃÂ Can the .NET XmlSerializer not handle interfaces? SQL Server Network Interfaces Error 26 - while failing over SQL Server 2008 R2

Before I explain the issue I am facing, I would like to say that I did read the post at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sql_protocols/archive/2007/05/13/sql-network-interfaces-error-26-error-locating-server-instance-specified.aspx but in my case the problem is transient (lasts for approximately two minutes after a failover) so items 1-3 in the list of troubleshooting steps do not seem to make sense. As to 4 and 5, the named instances use non-default ports (2433 and 3433 respectively), so I do not know how to tailor the PortQry command for that. I tried portqry.exe -n ServerA,2433-p UDP -e 1434 and portqry.exe -n ServerA,2433 -p UDP -e 2434 and it failed both times with a "Failed to resolve name to IP address" while the server was up and serving database requests The same thing happened when I tried it with the failover server as well. ***The issue I am facing*** I am using Enterprise Library 4.1 to connect to a SQL Server 2008 R2 database with a mirror. My connection string itself is as below (with dummy values for all fields): "Data Source=ServerA;Failover Partner=ServerB;Initial Catalog=DBName;User ID=uid;Password=pwd;Connect Timeout=5" Sample .NET code is as below (with modifications to instantiate all variables locally to provide context): SqlDatabase db = new SqlDatabase(ConnectionString); SqlConnection cn = (SqlConnection)db

Exposing Web Service interfaces on a per-binding basis

Hi there, supposed I have a dual-homed system (with 2 nic ards) that are connected to 2 separate networks. Suppose one nic is bound to a public address (e.g. 63.xxx.xxx.xxx) and the other to a private network address (10.xxx.xxx.xxx). Is there a way for me to only expose a web services interface (e.g. foobar.asmx) on one of the bindings (e.g. 10.xxx.xxx.xxx), but not the other? I'm assuming this is a pretty typical scenario. My project is working on local machine and I can access remote database from local machine. I have VS 2008 Version 3.5SP1 on local server. Wrap unmanaged dll and interfaces

Hi.

I wan't to use unmanaged dll (C++, not COM). My problem is that dll doesn't have static functions but expose (throw header file) some interfaces to class. For example IClientFactory.h looks like that:

I've recently been discussing Interfaces with a fellow developer. I don't have any experience using them, but my colleague has made some reasonable arguments for using them. He explained how it can allow you to limit the methods and properties in an object so you can instantiate an object for a specific purpose that may not need all the other methods and what not. The first question that came to my mind was "Does that also limit the amount of memory those objects use?" In other words, if I limit an objects methods/properties/etc does it only allocates memory for those specific methods/props? If so I see a lot of value in interfaces. I'm now in a scenario where I'd like to use an interface if it does restrict the amount of memory used. I'm rewriting some code another developer did a while back. He's using labels to store several values between postbacks. Ideally, I'd like to show an object holding those values into viewstate or session object. However, this particular object has a lot of methods and more properties than I need, so I don't want to throw a huge object into either of those objects. That said, if this interface would limit the amount of memory that object is going to grab a hold of, I'd feel much more comfortable storing that object then retrieving the 6 or 7 property values I need from the full blown object. Web form desiging in asp.net

I have anasp.net application . It have a web form . this form for regulating the health.In requirment is I want to save uppdate a form data. the form I have placed panels. First panel is maaster details input are (ie patient info and hospital information). Second panel for disease selection (i have 24 disease name with checkbox). so bellow this panel i want to create 14 panel for each disease. When i click on the disease name of checkbox that time i want to display the corresponding disease panel. i am calling it using javascript. Now the problem is each disease input area is large. so i designed for two disease . Now my application is very slow. So i am confueced that two subform are over now. then how can i create and make code bihind further with rest of the 12 out of 14 disease subform. As per my requirment that when a user is select two or more disease at a time after filling the master inputs(patient information and hospital inforation) both disease sub panel should be show with master panel . So please give me a solution for how to handle it easy.
