I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend. Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint. The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could
find. The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.
I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application
however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to
http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.
Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work? did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in? The above is the only problem i am having now.
all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu
Microsoft provided 3 example reports for Sharepoint report usage. Does anyone know where they are located? I used them about 2 years ago.
I am able to deploy reports and run them as the farm admin that I did the Grant entry for in CA > App Mgt > Reporting Services > Grant DB access.
However, my AD personal user that has Local admin on every server has integrated SA security to the SSRS and Sharepoint Database is aÃÂ Farm admin get's this error trying to run the reoprts.
An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the report server. Verify that the report server is available and configured for SharePoint integrated mode.
Now if I log in as the farm admin ( the user I did the grant on) I can run and add the reports to the SSRS webpart... Am I going to have to add every user through that Grant feature? With integrated Sharepoint security there is no /reports virtual to decide what users can runÃÂ what reports so I'm not sure..
SomeÃÂ other details.. I'm using Kerberos security, and CA > App mgt > Reporting Services > Manage integration mode is set to Trusted (not Windows).. otherwise .. I can't pull up Default settings under that Reporting Services section of CA.

Hello,I am using the Page Viewer Web Part to display a Reporting Services report in SharePoint. It was working fine until I tried caching the report in Report Manager. Now, whenÃÂ runningÃÂ the report in SharePoint, the Dundas Charts and Map that are in the report aren't displaying. It's just the typical red x instead of the pic. If I right click and do Show Picture it works, but that won't work for end users obviously. I do have a regular SSRS table at the top of the report, and that displays fine every time.Does anyone know what is causing this? I'm thinking it must have something to do with caching the report and/or Dundas, because again, everything was fine until I set it to cache. Thanks for your help.
dynamic layout or zone for Report Viewer Webpart, the report as to take all the space possible, and I don't want the scroll bars.
I have a SSRS Customized Report (.RDL). I have a web part with association on one of the report. When I try visit the page I am prompted for credenatial.
My Data Source Properties are as per below
Use this user and Password
user name: domain\myadminuser
Selected: use as win auth
How Can I get rid of prompt?
I want to create an SSRS report that displays all the steps in an executing workflow along with its current stage.
SharePoint 2010 webpart shows the current state of the executing workflow but I want to display all the steps including ones that have been completed and ones that are still to come.
I have created a report in SSRS and this report is integrated within a dashboard created using performance point services in sharepoint 2010.
The report is a simple tabular report with 5 coulmns and interactive sorting is enabled on each of them.
Sorting works when the report is viewed separately but gives "Report Server Error" when I try to sort (on any column) inside the dashboard.
I have user IP instead of host name in the report server url.
I have implemented in SSRS 2005 a main report and some drill-down report created as a separate rdl. These reports have a parameter set in order to execute them. I need to organize a schedule stratey. I think to create a table to contain these parameters,
with each record for each valid parameter set. This table could have more one record and so it has to be possible to execute the reports more times. I think to create a schedule for the main report, and one schedule for each drill-down reports. If I have f.e.
ten records in the parameter table, the main and the drill-down report should be executed ten times, isn't it? After the entire elaboration, I think to cancel the parameters record in the parameter table.
Moreover, if any records isn't present in the parameter table any executions shouldn't start and any errors shouldn't be generated.
Any helps to me to organize the right strategy in order to solve this issue, please? Many thanks.
Our environment looks as follows:
- MOSS 2007 Site/Central Admin (Enterprise) on Server A
- SQL Reporting Services 2008 R2 on Server B
- Report created on workstation using Report Builder 3.0
- SharePoint Library (with Promoted InfoPath fields) is the XML datasource
The report generates perfectly fine in development, but once loading the RDL up to the SP Site we get the following error when trying to view:
An error occurred during client rendering.
The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
Using this generic information we have checked into numerous apparent fixes, from confirming settings in the Central Admin, to changing the Zone Authentication to NTLM, to ensuring Anonymous Access is disabled, as well as some tweaks in IIS, etc.
We're still not having any luck getting the report to generate.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
i am using SQl Server 2005 reporting services to generate reports from MOSS 2007 Lists.
I need to define a parameter in the report to filter the data repective to that parameter dynamically.
like: in moss list there are three fileds A, B and C and i want to define field A as the report parameter, whenever i select the value of field A then on "View report" value of field B and C pertaining to field A should be display in report.
I am able to add report parameters but not able to attach to the report so that filtering can work.
Please guide me with solution
I'm using SSRS 2008 R2 , MOSS 2007 and report Builder 3.0 To generate cascading reports with sharepoint 2007 lists.
I'm able to filter and see the data correctly within report builder .
But if i upload the same RDL file to Sharepoint library and then tries to view the report,i'm not getting any data.(absolutely zero records)
I'm using Report builder 3.0 and sharepoint list as connection string.
Interestingly, if i'm ising XML as a connection string to pull sharepoint list data and then publish the report to sharepoint, i'm able to see the data within sharepoint correctly and i'm able to use the cascading filter and can view the correct data.
Please advice on why i'm not able to see the data if i'm using the connection string" sharepoint list "
This issue is same even if i'm using BIDS 2008 and sharepoint list as connection string.
i would like to use sharepoint list as connection string because of the ease of using it.
Thanks in advance!!
I've a reporting service that's integrate within sharepoint, and I want to create shared schedule for my report/subscription, but I can't find anywhere how to create the shared schedule like the report manager.. any advice?
