SharePoint Workflow E-mail Hyperlink has the Spaces Between Two Words Are Removed

I have a very simple Workflow, that includes href link to Infopath form.
If the form name includes spaces, the URL redirects to a The Form has been Closed message, indicating that it cant find that form.
In our scenario, the file name of the document/form in SharePoint when saved is called "Travel Request - <submit date>"  as noted with spaces.
The Hyperlink URL in the email generated by the workflow appears to encode all values in the name after the first two words (after Request).  See below.  after the word Request the spaces are encoded properly.     its replacing the first space with it appears %0d%0a (CR LF)
The URL below is what is displayed when right clicking, and selecting Edit Hyperlink in the email

I can reproduce this in development and production.  Any ideas on how this can be resolved?

How to use display Text in Hyperlink For SharePoint 2010 Designer Workflow

In SharePoint 2007 Designer, I have used the Hyperlink column to store the link "http://www.sharepoint.com/Default.aspx, Details". The details text will be shown in the Hyperlink column. Everything works fine in sharepoint 2007 Designer workflow.

In SharePoint Designer 2010 Workflow, I used the same method but the hyperlink column is displaying the full text "http://www.sharepoint.com/Default.aspx, Details" instead of only Details

SSRS 2008 R2 - Sharepoint list item hyperlink bug?

I have created a report based on a sharepoint list and I am using a subscription in WSS 3.0 to email the report to the users once a week. I want one column in the report to act as a hyperlink to the sharepoint list item but in the email version of the report, the URL has the list item ID repeated twice, which renders the link invalid. Initially, I tried using the 'Encoded Absolute URL' from the sharepoint list query to populate the hyperlink but this just gives a 404 NOT FOUND error and I have found documented in several places on the web that this link only works with document libraries. So instead, I decided to create the URL for the action using an expression, like this: ="http://myserver/mysite/Lists/mylist/DispForm.aspx?ID=" & ListItemID.Value This works perfectly in the development environment and when people run the report for themselves in the sharepoint document library where it is deployed but, for some reason, if I send the report on a schedule then I get the ID parameter repeated at the end twice. Like this: http://myserver/mysite/Lists/mylist/DispForm.aspx?ID=999&ID=999 I have tried rendering the report in several different formats (Word, PDF, MHTML, HTML) and they all seem to work fine in the development and when run within SharePoint but not when they are rendered and emailed using the scheduler. Is this a bug or am I missing so

SharePoint Designer Workflow Changes not Posting

Hey Community, I've encountered a tough problem.  I have made some changes to a SharePoint Designer (SPD) workflow.  I click Finish in the workflow designer and the changes are saved without error.  However, when I run the workflow on the actual site, it's still the old workflow design, not the workflow with the recent changes.  On this site I have Full Control permissions.  No errors appear in the workflow.  I do not have access to the CA, SP Logs, or Event Viewer. I hope you can help!Tom Molskow SharePoint Architect - If I solved the issue please propose my reply as the answer - Thanks!

SharePoint field type "hyperlink or picture"

I am making a workflow which creates a task for a user.
When the task is created I want to insert an URL into a custom column in the task list of the field type "hyperlink or picture".
I have managed this through the following code in my createTask activity:

private void CreateMyTask(object sender, EventArgs e)
              myTaskProperties.ExtendedProperties.Add("CustomLink", "http://mycustomsitelink.com/somelink");

The only problem is, I can't figure out how to set the display text for this link. It will show the entire link on the screen, and I would like it to show something like "My link" while clicking it would lead you to the URL.

Blog - Disable hyperlink for user accounts posting and commenting

Hello Everyone,

Is there a way to disable the Hyperlink created when a user creates a blog entry and when someone comments on the post? We want limit any redirection to user profile pages within the sharepoint site and this is last part we need to figure out.

Example: "Posted at 12:39 PM by Employee Blog"

Thoughts or solutions?

SharePoint Blog - Disabling or redirecting hyperlink of username who posted

Is there anyway to disbale the username of the poster? For example, when a post is created the next line displays by username on 10/6/2010 3:00pm. I've seen other Sharepoint blogs where this is disbled.

If cannot be disable is there any way to redirect to a different url when the hyperlink is clicked? I know this has to be done with div.ms-postfooter, but can't find any info anywhere.

Posting on behalf of someone / Impersonate user in UI - SharePoint 2010

I want to know if there is a way for someone to post something on behalf of someone else in SharePoint Server 2010 without too much custom code?

e.g.: Our CEO has a blog but no time to post on it. The goal is to have his assistant post on his blog but it needs to appear as if he is doing the posting. That's just one example but there is many others where one department needs to post as if that department head is actually replying himself (blogs, comments, list, news, etc).

Sharing credentials is not an option.

Sharepoint 2007 "New Document" hyperlink not working

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, Sharepoint 2007, latest version of IE8 and Office Professional 2010 (including Infopath 2010).  I have Form Libraries (Infopath forms) and when I go into the form library and click on New>New Document, nothing happens.  The menu folds up so that I just see New with the drop down arrow, but there is no browser error or anything else displayed, and Infopath 2010 never opens with the .xsn template.

I did not have this issue on my previous platform of XP SP3, Sharepoint 2007, IE7 and Office Professional 2007 (including Infopath 2007)

SharePoint 2010, Word Office Web App, embedded hyperlink using docidredir.aspx returns "blocked://"

I have word documents stored in a SP2010 document library with embedded links to other documents stored in other document libraries. The links are formatted as :

I'm using the Document ID Service and Web Apps.

When I use the word web app to view the document and then click the link to open the linked document in word web app, the server returns a new window with the address of "blocked:../../_layouts/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=ID_01" and a 'Webpage cannot be displayed" message.

Using MS Office Word application, the link opens the linked document correct. If I copy and paste the link into an IE address bar the file open correctly. Only when opening from the word web app do I experience the "blocked://" error.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this behaviour?  Thanks in advance!

how to set hyperlink url and description simutaneously in sharepoint designer workflow?

I have a hyperlink column in a list. I'd like the sharepoint designer workflow update the url and set the description.

Seems I can not do it: the designer provides two options, browse to a fixed url where you can specify the description; another is point to item or workflow data. But I do not know how to specify both.

If hyperlink column works like other lookup column, you can user {ID}#;{Value} to do this. However tried and it did not work. Could not find better documents.

Any ideas,

How to link or hyperlink files form a File Share from SharePoint

Hi all

We want to put a hyperlink to a directory in a shared drive where there is plenty of space for archive and the overflow of documents.

When someone goes to a document folder and wants to upload their document on SharePoint, when they click, instead of going to the upload page, is there a way that they are hyperlinked to a share drive folder where there is plenty of room.

Is there a way to link or hyperlink  directly from a SharePoint document library to a file or file share?

Please advice

Posting to Multiple SharePoint Lists

I currently have a requirement to post to 2 SharePoint lists.  1 list to store a Purchase Order and another to store Purchase Order Lines.

I would like to have 1 Info Path form that allows the user to submit a Purchase Order, the form would have the ability add multiple lines for the PO.

I understand that I could use a Form Library but would like to use a list form if possible.

From reading the following article http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2010/04/22/comparing-list-and-form-library-forms.aspx it suggests that I could post to 2 seperate lists with a link (lookup) between the lists.

Can somebody please confirm if what I am thinking is possible and also provide some material that I could read to help me out.

Changing the graphics on the home page of a SharePoint site

When you create a site in Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services by using the default Team Site template, the home page includes two default graphics. A Windows SharePoint Services graphic appears in the body of the page, and a picture of a house in a circle appears near the site title. You can change these graphics to customize your site. Changing the smaller graphic requires a Windows SharePoint Services compatible Web page editor

Displaying SharePoint lists in Web Parts

When you create a built-in or custom list in Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, Windows SharePoint Services creates a Web Part, a basic building block of a SharePoint site, to display that list. These Web Parts are called List View Web Parts. Windows SharePoint Services stores List View Web Parts in the site collection Web Part gallery. (The site collection Web Part gallery is the most central gallery of Web Parts for a work group. By default, the gallery name is the name of the site, such as "Our Team Site Web Part Gallery." )

What is a SharePoint site for?
A SharePoint site is a Web site that provides a central storage and collaboration space for documents, information, and ideas. A SharePoint site is a tool for collaboration, just like a telephone is a tool for communication, or a meeting is a tool for decision making. A SharePoint site helps groups of people (whether work teams or social groups) share information and work together. For example, a SharePoint site can help you:

Coordinate projects, calendars, and schedules.
Discuss ideas and review documents or proposals.
Share information and keep in touch with other people.
