I have a requirement to create a Outlook Task , from a custom webpart through code .
Is this possible?
has any body tried this , if yes can you please give me an insight on how to acheive it.
Some sample Code would be highly appreciated.
I have designed the infopath form(Init) and integrated with my state machine workflow. i want to access button click event (designed in Infopath form) in my workflow code.
Can you help me.
protected override void CreateChildControls(EventArgs e)
_userControl = Page.LoadControl(@"/_controltemplates/ControlTemplates/CustomUserControl.ascx");
_userControl.ID = "usrSearchResults";
<asp:DropDownList ID="ddlRegions" AutoPostBack="true" runat="server" DataTextField="Title"
ddlRegions.DataBound += new EventHandler(ddlRegions_DataBound);
Wondering if any one else seen this, I noticed custom ribbon buttons don't show up when I select item in document library in webpart view. Site is created using team site template and the webpart that shows contents of a document library is inside of a wiki
editing control in team site home page
Button shows up correctly when I select the item once in document library view
i am in stress how to start this what should be the first step
i want to create custom application
page with a ribbon and some user
control web part to show document item properties.
Please help me regarding this
thanks in advance
Hi, so I have a control that is created in the code behind and generates fine but I can't figure out how to create an event handler for it. I've found plenty of examples for it in C sharp, but none of them seem to apply to VB. What I want to do is essentially this:
myDropDownList.SelectedIndexChanged = "Event to do here"
but it doesn't seem to work for me.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
If you're unfamiliar with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), building that first Silverlight custom control can be a daunting experience. This article walks through the process.

Hi Gurus ,
It happened to add an extra Gridveiw Header in row_databound event , It did worked fine on !Postback but disappered on Page.Postback . Quick google search guided me to move the event to Row_Created event and every thing is okay .
Can any expert post some pointers , differnces between grid row_created vs row_databount with some sample table data created dynamically behaviour of both the events in !Postback and page.Postback .
Thanks a tonne in Advance and any inputs will be valued and appreciated .
A little background because I feel I have an out of the ordinary architecture in place and don't know if this is contributing to the problem.
We have an existing ASP.net application that is undergoing expansion. The new functionality is all written in Silverlight 4. As part of that expansion I gutted all the old Linq to SQL and put Entity Framework 4 into place. To do this I created a standard .net Class Library and added my edmx files there. Naturally, the business entities created by this cannot be used in Silverlight. So I created a Silverlight Class Library and added all the business entities to that Silverlight Class Library as linked files. I changed the name space to be the same.
So I have the following assembly / namespaces
Company.Project.Dal.csproj / Company.Project.Entities (.net 4 class library)
Company.Project.Entities.csproj / Company.Project.Entities (SL4 class library)
With this architecture I was able to share my business entities with my SL enabled web services, my asp.net projects, my silverlight projects. Really it's a beautiful thing.
Once this was done I added "message" classes to Company.Project.Dal and again shared them with the other entites using linked files. These messages are things like MyObjectRequest; they are class
I am trying to find a solution to manage permissions on a document, while uploading it into a document library. This event has to be fired if a custom field is populated (it's a check box field).
How to write an event for this, i tried writing ItemAdded event, but this is getting fired as soon as a document is uploaded, before coming to the page, where we populate all the fields and hit check in.
can i capture Check-in event.
I created a template off a site I made last year (without content). That site had some custom pages with webparts on them. These pages were linked to from the Quick Launch menu. I just made a new site using that template and it appears the custom
pages weren't part of the template as when I click on the links to them in the QL menu, I get a 404 page not found error. I tried again saving the template with content this time and my custom pages show up - but then I have all the lists/libraries filled
with old content. Any remedy?
I am on MOSS 2007 and can use Designer.
