View Complete Post
Ihave created a Site definition and added a Posts Listview in the same.
<View List="$Resources:core,lists_Folder;/$Resources:core,blogpost_Folder;" BaseViewID="10" WebPartZoneID="Left" WebPartOrder="1"/>
This list is created using my own schema.xml which i have copied from the Blog site template.
I wanted to rename the title of the list [not Title field] which is coming to be Posts right now.
Is there anyway to do it?
Any help appreciated
I have tried "Email this Post" in a SharePoint blog. I got the email as desired, but the doesnot resolve the post.

I got the link in email as mentioned below:
But i should get as below to resolve the link:
We are going to be displaying videos within our application. We want to be able to overlay a semi-transparent layer or whatever over the video with data from our database about that video.
similar to some youtube video's where when you mouse over the video as its playing, a small portion on the bottom of the video displays or even at the end of the video when it gives you option to view 2 other videos.. we woudl like to do that affect but with data .
I guess another example of what we want is the effect of a modal popup but over a video file.
This forum may not be the place to ask, but i searched around and everything i found was video overlay software.. where you can create your own overlay by opening the video and editing.. we dont want to edit our video, they have to stay intact.. we simply want to place a transparent image over it with data about it.
I created a picture library. I added a picture to the library. In one of the columns I need to display video. Now when I click on the picture I see a list of all the columns I created including a column I called "Video Link". Now instead of seeing
this as a link to the video, I want the video to be embedded. Is this possible?
Hi guys, i need your help.
Currently i'm designing a gridview which could present an flv video file which was located on the database using sql. I use jw player to present the video (http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/)
Therefore, on the <itemtemplate> i use this code to embed the video:
<object classid='clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000' width='400' height='300' id='single3' name='single3'>
<param name='movie' value='../data/flashPlayer/player.swf'>
<param name='allowfullscreen' value='true'>
<param name='allowscriptaccess' value='always'>
<param name='wmode' value='transparent'>
<param name='flashvars' value="file=<%# "../data/uploadedData/video/flv" + Eval("videoUrl") %>">

Is there anyway you can launch Word from the browser to edit a particular blog post? I've created a blog site and I know how to use MS Word to publish to that blog site.
I know there's button on the Word ribbon saying "Open Existing" that will allow me to select and edit an existing post, but I'd like to approach it in reverse.
If I'm on the site browsing on different posts, I'd like a button or a link on that page. Clicking on that link, I'd like Word to automatically open up that particular blog post in edit mode. I think it should be possible, but just not sure how. On the main
page, there's link called "Launch blog program to post" which opens up Word to post a new blog.
I am displaying serch result in webpart in sharepoint 2010.
