XSL Transformations: XSLT Alleviates XML Schema Incompatibility Headaches

The XSL Transformations (XSLT) specification defines an XML-based language for expressing transformation rules that map one XML document to another. XSLT has many of the constructs found in traditional programming languages, including variables, functions, iteration, and conditional statements. In this article you'll learn how to use the XSLT instructions and template rules, manage namespaces, control transformation output, use multiple stylesheets, and employ pattern-matching with template rules. A sidebar explains how to access XSLT from MSXML using the IXSLTemplate and IXSLProcessor interfaces.

ASP Menu Control IE8 incompatibility

Hello:

Menu control is not compatibile with IE8.  Is there a fix for this problem?  When you open the application in IE8 it only shows menus in two lines and you cannot click on it.  And then it displays a white screen.  I think that I implemented a meta tag at the time setting compatibility to IE7 but it does not seem to work.

CAn you help?  Thank you.

Best way to avoid error message due to null vs integer incompatibility

I receive the error message below, I think because the database field in question is null (I realize I probably should not allow null values, but I can't even display the page to allow the user to enter a value---and I would prefer not to enter a default value in SQL).

How do I avoid this error message? If the column is null (and it is supposed to be an integer), do I need to change the value to something like "0" in the code behind---or is there any easier way to do this right in aspx page (see source of error message below)?  Either way, I'm not sure how to do either (I can't get any such lines of code to work here). Thank you.

Visual Studio 2008 Framework 3.5 Project Referencing DLL built in Visual Studio 2010 Framwork 4

I am trying to add a DLL file that was compiled in Visual Studio 2010 with Framework 4 to my project that is in Visual Studio 2008(Framework 3.5), but I am getting a warning after I have added the reference that says "The referenced component 'dll name' could not be found." What is causing VS2008 give this warning? I can not compile the code as this DLL is a required component. Thank you.

Regards,

Mike
