//Assign values as a specific Dynamic WebControl Creation.

AJAX Extenders extend the behavior and features of ordinary Web controls so you can reduce postbacks and control input even better than with AJAX alone.

AJAX update panel and update progress controls

I have writtena Crystal reports web application, that prompts ths user for parameters and then apply them and exports the report to a folder as .rpt and then display the report. I prompt the parameters on one screen and then display the report on another page. I have the AJAX update panel and update progress controls in the parameter page. When the user enters the parameters and click on ok, I export the report and then loads the report to a session report document and transfer the user to the second page where the report is displayed. I use the following code to do transfer to the seconds page. I have excluded the report load and parameter assign code here.rpt.ExportToDisk(ExportFormatType.CrystalReport, "c:\reports\testrep.rpt") Session("rpt") = New ReportDocument Session("rpt").load("c:\reports\testrep.rpt") Response.Redirect("show.aspx") In the second page I have the following: rptViewer.reportsource = Session("rpt") My problem is this works one time and then stops working the second. What I found out was it comes to the statement: Response.Redirect("show.aspx") But it does not even load the show.aspx page. It stays on the parameter page. There are no errors displayed. I could not see any errors when I debug the application also. And out of the blue it works

Problem registering client side script to interact with AJAX controls

Im using some animationExtenders in my project. The thing is, the objects to be animated are created programmatically, hence i need to also build programmatically the javascript code that will interact with them.It runs properly but, when i interact with these animated controls and the javascript functions are supposed to get to work, i keep getting the usual run-time error saying that the javascript functions are not defined. But, if i check the final html code generated, i can see how all the controls i built programmatically are there ,as well as the script.Tried both RegisterStartupScript and RegisterClientScriptBlock, no luck.Any advice? thanks in advance

AJAX Controls not working....

I have a simple under construction page that I am working on for my company website and I am trying to apply the rounded corners extender to a panel at the top of the page for my title.  But when I put the extender on the page and set it up for the panel that holds my title and then view the page in my development environment I get a blank page.  When the page first loads you can see the title panel flash and it disappears.  Below is my code...

<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true"  CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %>
<%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="cc1" %>

Point is what if i change something in AjaxControl1, i want that change in AjaxControl2 too but without change in AjaxControl2 or AjaxControl2.js

Fail to log out when using ajax for adding controls

My masterpage has a loginStatus control to let users log out and it works very well on normal pages .Recently, I created a new content page associated with the mentioned master page. Such new page allows users to add textboxes dynamically through ajax asycpostback. Unfortunately, loginstatus right now fails to work when i click it. I traced the process and i found out that the loggingout event was not fired when i click it.

I follow this video to make such "Dynamically add control" page.

Anyout knows what happen and why ?  Thank you very much.

Ajax waiting logo, push downs all controls !

using below code, I enable the Ajax waiting logo.

                    <asp:UpdateProgress ID="UpdateProgressH" runat="server">
                            <p align="center">
                                <img src="../image/ajax-loader.gif" alt="" /></p>

Additionally, I trigger it using :

                                <asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="btnSearchH" EventName="Click" />

But whenever logo appears, it push downs all controls.

How can I show the logo in front of all controls, in order to prevent this issue?

Handling Form Controls After Ajax.BeginForm Submission

Currently I have a comments section integrated into a blog I am writing.
The comments are Ajaxified, when you post a comment the comment list auto updates with the comment you just added.
Everything is working great but I would like to do some cleanup after a comment is successfully posted.
Specifically I would like to disable the textarea and submit button which I would have no issues doing through javascript by using the AjaxOption OnComplete parameter.
To avoid double posts or just plain abuse. I know I will need other safegaurds as well but this is my first step.
The thing is Ajax.BeginForm does not give the form an id or name so I can not reference the form in javascript.
Is there a workaround here? Can I disable these form controls from the controller?

Here is my code.

<% using (Ajax.BeginForm("Details", new AjaxOptions {UpdateTargetId="divCommentList"})) {%>
    <p>Add Your Own Comment</p>
    <p><%= Html.TextArea("Comment1")%></p>
    <input type="submit" value="Add Comment" id="submit" />
    <% } %>

Problem with using ajax controls

I have a problem with using gridview, scriptmanager and other controls. My visual studio 2010 says: "Element 'scriptmanager' is not a known element. This can occurif there is a compilation error in the website, or the web.config file is missing."

Visual studio is complaining on updatepanel, gridview, scriptmanager and some others. I've searched the net for this, and some people say this can happen if you use masterpages, others say that there could be some missing lines in the web.config file. I can't really find a example on how the web.config should look like, neether can I find how to solve the issues with masterpages.

Does anyone out there know of a good and informative article that i can read, or maybe try to explain what i can do and what the issue may be?

here's my web.config content:
