I have a designer program with scale and translate transforms. What I want is a little scale/ruler that floats in the bottom left hand corner that shows the current scale.
The problem is that I don't know how to pick a scale for my drawings. I have shapes on a canvas, and each edge of the shape is adorner with a measurment (currenlty in pixels). I know there is an inch and centimeter unit available in wpf. If that's
the case, and most user want to design in feet or meters, should I start with the design surface already zoomed out so that they are designing in feet and inches? Or, should I convert between pixels and some design scale that is configured by the user?
Then, are there some considerations I am missing, such as dots per inch and device independent pixels?
