Where/How to I get ListViewWebPart?

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 03, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint
One of my users is requesting the ListViewWebPart be made available to him.  I think it is in the MIcrosoft.Sharepoint.dll, but I am not sure how to get it so I can upload it to the webpart gallery?  This is probably pretty simple, but I am a bit of a rookie... Thank you.

In one specific SharePoint calendar, on one specific week in that calendar when we select the "more items" link in the monthly view (or the expand all option) we get the following error:

How to remove ListViewWebPart from ASPX-Page?

Hi! I have created a custom aspx page on which i embedded a ListViewWebPart. That worked fine. Now I want to change something in the ListviewWebPart (add additional column). In the markup there is a lot of stuff like <ListViewXml xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WebPart/v2/ListView">&lt;View Name=&quot;{4991239A-C5FC-4CD6-806F-775923BD20FD}&quot; Type=&quot;HTML&quot; Hidden=&quot;TRUE&quot; DisplayName=&quot;&quot; Url=&quot;/crm/Kundendetails.aspx&quot; Level=&quot;1&quot; BaseViewID=&quot;1&quot; ContentTypeID=&quot;0x&quot; .....<br/> </ListViewXml> Because of that I created a new view for my List, added all columns I need and then copy the ListViewWebPart from the newly created View my CustomPage. Now I deleted the old ListViewWebPart in my CustomPage a saved the file. But after reopening the page the ListViewWebPart was back again. Curiously the ListViewWebPart is connected to my page in the DataBase. How can I delete the ListViewWebPart from my Page?

Adding ListViewWebPart to a page - how do you set its view to

If you add a ListViewWebPart to a wiki/web part page (such as the Links list), it will default to the <summary View>.  If you add it using code, it will default to the default view.  How can I set it to use the <Summary View>? I tried setting node.Attributes["BaseViewID"].Value = "0" in the web part view xml, but that didn't do anything. Any thoughts? ListViewWebPart wpLinks = new ListViewWebPart(); SPList listLinks = site.Lists["Links"]; wpLinks.ListName = listLinks.ID.ToString("B").ToUpper(); wpLinks.ViewGuid = listLinks.DefaultView.ID.ToString("B").ToUpper(); AddToolBar(wpLinks, "Add new link"); private void AddToolBar(System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts.WebPart wp, string label) { // Get the view used in the web part by using reflection PropertyInfo viewProp = wp.GetType().GetProperty("View", BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance); SPView webPartView = viewProp.GetValue(wp, null) as SPView; // This is necessary after the infrastructure update, without it you can't get to the XML of the view webPartView.GetType().InvokeMember("EnsureFullBlownXmlDocument", BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance | BindingFlags.InvokeMethod, null, webPartView, null, System.Globalization.CultureInfo.Current
