I format lines in a .aspx file (source view) the way I can use them, and if I switch to design view or view in browser or debug, the many lines get reformatted to flow all onto one line.
I can't seem to find the correct setting to keep this from happening.
I need to implement one text editor in my application. I dont need a complex one, i just need a simple one.

Hi, perhaps i have found a bug in Visual Studio 2008 Team Edition.Every thing was going well.
I started to build my project, but for certain reasons i went to Built Tab and while the project wes in build process i clicked Cancel Button.
Alas!! after that my class file has gone to non-editable mode.It is giving this error:
"cannot currently modify this text in the editor. It is read only ".I closed and again opened Project but no improvement.I went to Tool->Import Export Setting->reset all settings but no benefit.
How to resolve this problem ?

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to make only certain fonts and colours available to rich text box in the content editor web part?
also is there a way to make only certain features available in the rich text box, ie only let the users change font, but not let them use bullet points etc.
I have a text box.It is having 2 validation on it(Range validator and req field validator).
Now,if I enter an integer within 0-8,just after gettting out of focus of the text box,I need to generate a grid which should contain exactly that many number of rows.
Now,My question is:
1.How to capture that number entered in the text box and without any button click event, how to to generate the grid?I suppose,I need to write the code in one of the TextBox event. But,which one and how?
Please help me as I am in urgent need.
Several users along with myself are having an issue when creating or editing items on a list concering Rich Text field on them. This is only affect certain site collections and not all of them on the server. For instance, site server/sites/siteA
has the issue but server/sites/siteB doesn't. The toolbar is replace with an icon. When the icon is moused over it displays the tooltip "Right-to-Left(Click Ctrl+Shift+<)". The only thing that I am aware of that has change on the WSS server is that Search
Services has been enabled. There has been no other mofications to the server that I am aware. I am following up with operations to see if any updates have been applied. But don't believe any have been done in several weeks.
The server is also a Team Foundation Server and some of these sites are Project Portals. This error is occuring with IE6, IE7, and IE8. I have checked my settings and all scripting for this Trusted Site are enabled. The issue still presists. Has anyone else
encounter this issue?
Thank you in advance
I tried to customize the Rich Text Editor (HTML Editor, Content Editor) in SharePoint 2010. How can I replace the default styles with my own styles in the following Dropdowns of the editor:
I tried also the PrefixStyleSheet-Property but I don't figured out the correct style definition - the Dropdows were empty.
<PublishingWebControls:RichHtmlField id="Content" FieldName="PublishingPageContent" runat="server" PrefixStyleSheet="PageContentStyle"/>
I found some informations but nothing works.
I've got two identical SharePoint 2010 servers. One is a dev box and one is production. We've got a branding solution package. After deploying the package on the production server, when I go into edit a page, the text format functionality
in the content editor works fine, i.e. I can change font, font size, font color, etc. However, when I deploy the solution package on the dev server and then attempt to edit a page, the text format functionality is disabled/broken. I can utilize
bold, underline, or italicize but cannot change font, font color, font size, etc.
I've copied a site collection from my production site (which works perfectly) over to the dev site with the same results, meaning once on the dev box, the copied site collection no longer has editing functionalilty in the content editor. Permissions are
set the same on both boxes and as mentioned, editing works fine until deployment of the solution package on the dev box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Could Visual Studio installed on my Dev box cause this?
