I have Sqlserver2008 setup.
It is work in wndows Xp.
But I have to Install it on Windows 7 ,during installation process it requires some patch and I am unable to get it.
Plz some buddy can help the same.
We recently upgraded to a 2008 development web server and I installed all the stuff to get dot net 1.1 app working on the server. I can host them and they work. My problem is that when I try to open one in VS 2003 I get the following error. I set up the web server the same as my previous one, and I think a long time ago I got this error when we set up current one but do not remember how to resolve it. So I moved my project files from the old server to the new server and then I get these errors.
The web Server reported the following error when attempting to create or open the Web Project located at the following url: Http://localhost:/MobTracker. 'Http/1.1 500 server error
I downloaded Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (x86 and x64) from MSDNAA (i study computer science) and also Windows 7 Professional (x86).
I installed Windows 7 and i tried to install SQL Server but i receive the "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installation has failed. SQL Server 2008 Setup requires .NET Framework 3.5 to be installed." error. I tried installing .NET Framework but it doesn't work
because it's installed by default with Windows 7 (i checked the "Turn Windows features on or off" page and the "Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1" checkbox is checked). I understand that this means .NET framework 3.5 SP1 is also installed so i shouldn't have
Can anyone help me with this installation problem?
Hi all, as still a novice user, I am looking for some advise on a problem I am currently having with SQL Server 2008 Express. Thanks in advance.
I had a copy of SQL Server 2008 Express installed on my XP machine. Recently I tried to uninstall it, so that I can install a clean copy of 2008 R2. The uninstallation failed halfway, and subsequently, the SQL server does not start or even allow me to reinstall/uninstall
or put in the Microsoft updates meant for the SQL Server 2008 express.
Need advice on how to remove it cleanly, and I do not require any of the database on the current installation. Appreciate any advice.
Below is a copy SQL Server Error Log when I tried to redo the uninstallation:

Hello All, I would appreciate any help with this.
I believe my problem exists within the web.config which already had code in it to connect to SQL Server Express 2008.
I uninstalled the SQL Server Express that came with Visual Studio 2010.
I installed SQL Server 2010 R2 Developer, and I'm able to connect via Management Studio and through Visual Studio's Server Explorer's Data Connections I am connected.
I did run aspnet_regsql.exe within the 4.0 folder in order to create the database with Microsoft Service Providers.
Here is the ServerName: USER-5529234649
Here is the name of the DataBase: StepByStepChapter9
Here is the name of the Connection within Visual Studio's Server Explorer's Data Connections: user-5529234649.StepByStepChapter9.dbo
Here is the code I changed in the web.config:
