I have a two-fold problem. Firstly, my Sharepoint Central Administration V4 site is showing
Service Not Available. This seems to be related to the credentials the
Central Administration V4 Application Pool - hitting Test Settings within
IIS Manager for the site shows an Authentication and Authorization error for the credentials due to a bad password.
My reading indicates that I should run something to the effect of:
%STSADM -o updatefarmcredentials -userlogin DOMAIN\username -password <new password as set via AD>
This runs into the following Error message
Error deploying administration application pool credentials. Another deployment may be active. An object of the type Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPAdminAppPoolCredentialDeploymentJobDefinition named "job-admin-apppool-change" already exists
under the parent Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPTimerService named "SPTimerV4". Rename your object or delete the existing object.

I understand that I need to make some changes to the web.config for this to work. I thought I made all the changes but my ResetPassword() requests are still not working.

In my last column I introduced Password Minder, the tool I use to manage all of my passwords. It generates a long, random password for each site I visit, and makes it possible for me to use the most complex passwords possible, without ever having to see the actual password material or type it in manually.

DataClasses1DataContext db = new DataClasses1DataContext();
var info = new passdefine();
info.username = TextBox1.Text;
string strcry = TextBox2.Text;
byte bt = new byte[strcry.Length];
bt = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(strcry);
RSACryptoServiceProvider RSA1 =new RSACryptoServiceProvider();
bt = RSA1.Encrypt(bt,false);

var info = from m in db.passdefines where m.username == TextBox1.Text select m;
foreach (var item in info)
byte bt = new byte[item.password.length];
RSACryptoServiceProvider RSA1 = new RSACryptoServiceProvider();
bt = RSA1.Decrypt(item.password.ToArray(), false);
string pass = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetString(bt);
