gridview and textbox changed event

i have a textbox changed event i am calling this event  when textbox  value changed.

this textbox is inside gridviews Itemtemplate

<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False" OnRowUpdating="Update_Schedule"
                    OnRowDeleting="Delete_Schedule" OnPageIndexChanging="OnPaging" OnRowEditing="Edit_Schedule"

How to handle treeview selected node changed event

From my below sample code, I don't want to use Sessions to handle each click event inside treeview selected node changed.

Secondly, if you suggest me to use treenode.SelectedValue then I would say my values are dyanmically generated.

Everytime a node a clicked, the selected node value is sent in the next request xml to get response and xml schema is different for each click. How do I handle this each click event other than using session variables. I thought of using Request.Item (and integrating with URL redirect property) but I don't want to use that.

Dim trNode As New TreeNode
Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
        If Not IsPostBack Then
            trNode.Text = "Not Postback"
            Session("Flag") = 1
        End If
    End Sub

Protected Sub TreeView1_SelectedNodeChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles TreeView1.SelectedNodeChanged
        If Session.Item("Flag") = 1 Then
            trNode.Text = "Is PostBack"
            Session("Flag") = 2
        End If

Composite control: How to bubble a textbox's TextChanged event?

I've created a composite control that contains several controls, including a textbox. I'm trying to expose the TextChanged event of the textbox as an event on the composite control. I understand that events can be bubbled up the control hierarchy and handled at a higher level, which I've attempted to do, but I can't get the bubbled event to fire. When I drop the control on an aspx I can see the TextChanged event, I can subscribe to the event, but nothing ever happens. Any suggestions? Here is what I think is the relevant code:

// My event
private static readonly object EventTextChanged = new object();

//Handle the bubbled event
EventHandler textChangedHandler = (EventHandler)Events[EventTextChanged];

protected override bool OnBubbleEvent(object source, EventArgs e)
    bool handled = false;

listview with button in item template - how do I handle the click event?

Hello,Using a listview control for the first time... I need a button for each item, and of course I need to handle the click event for the buttons... upon clicking a particular button I of course need to know which item the button is associated with so the appropriate action can be taken...In VS, I can't select the button and see my list of available events in the properties window like is normally done for controls outside of templates like this... what do I need to do?

Infopath Changed Event code triggering in preview but not in web filler.

Hi there, I've written some code for a changed event hookup on a field in infopath 2010. The form is for submission to a sharepoint 2010 forms library. What the code does is fill in a specific value into a field depending on the selected value from a combo-box elsewhere on the form. When i preview this in Infopath 2010 it works perfectly but when i fill out the form through the web interface it simply does nothing. I've got another piece of code which executes on load and this works perfectly in both the preview and the web filler. What it does is just set the value of a field when the form loads. Here is the code, could someone tell me what i'm doing wrong? public void InternalStartup() { EventManager.XmlEvents["/my:myFields/my:service_level"].Changed += new XmlChangedEventHandler(service_level_Changed); EventManager.FormEvents.Loading += new LoadingEventHandler(FormEvents_Loading); } public void service_level_Changed(object sender, XmlEventArgs e) { // Write your code here to change the main data source. XPathNavigator xroot = MainDataSource.CreateNavigator(); XPathNavigator serviceLevel = xroot.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:service_level",NamespaceManager); XPathNavigator xest = xroot.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:est_cost", NamespaceManager); switch (serviceLevel.Value)

show value in label on textbox change event

I want to show value in label on textbox change event , means when user enter text in text box then this value should display in label  . I am using this:<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server">    <ContentTemplate>     <asp:TextBox ID="TextBox5" runat="server" ontextchanged="TextBox5_TextChanged" AutoPostBack="true"></asp:TextBox>    </ContentTemplate>    </asp:UpdatePanel>========================================================protected void TextBox5_TextChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)     {         ViewState["xyz"] = Convert.ToInt32(TextBox4.Text) - Convert.ToInt32(TextBox5.Text);         ViewState["xyz1"] = Convert.ToInt32(ViewState["xyz"].ToString()) * 100;         lbldiff.Text = ViewState["xyz"].ToString();         lblprofit.Text = ViewState["xyz1"].ToString();     }protected void TextBox5_TextChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)    {        ViewState["xyz"] = Convert.ToInt32(TextBox4.Text) - Convert.ToInt32(TextBox5.Text);        ViewState["xyz1

Raise OnPropertyChanged event when Text Box Text has changed

Hi there I have a Wrapped Text Box that is bound to a Public String Property. I have a related OK Button that should be Enabled when the text changes to indicate there are 'items' in the Text Box. The problem is that the set accessor of the property (and thus OnPropertyChanged) is not being called until focus is lost from the text box - and I would like the Ok Button to be enabled before then. What is the the best way to raise the set when the Text Box text has changed? (A List Box is not an option) Thanks very much Joe

Checkbox checked changed event inside gridview

How to implement handle externl event activity by my code?...

As a programmer, I write some code to practice wwf, and I have implemented the **call external activity** by using reflection. 1. Firstly, define a xml document that contain a plugin detail: <xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" > 2.Secondly, call the external method by reflection in some codes: Assembly assembly = Assembly.Load(assemblyName); Type myInterface = assembly.GetType(interfaceName); Type myClassType = null; foreach (Type t in assembly.GetTypes()) { if (myInterface.IsAssignableFrom(t) && t.IsClass) { myClassType = t; break; } } MethodInfo methodInfo = myClassType.GetMethod(method); object instance = Activator.CreateInstance(myClassType); object result = methodInfo.Invoke(instance, userData); But when I implement the handle external event pattern, i can't finish it by using reflection directly, then i want to hookup delegate, still faild. It seems that the mothod **addService(service)** do somethings inside the wf side. Could I still implement it by use reflection? Actualy, I don't know the detail about when the host client raise an event, how wf side can recieve this action. it seemed that this is the key for my question... Thanks ligong

Event Handle & Declared Message Errors

Hi Experts: There is a missing event Handle that requires a variable found in the button code . Secondly,  there is a Name declared error (i.e., Name 'First' is not declared, Name 'Last' is not declared, Name 'City' is not declared, Name 'State' is not declared) found in the page code. How do we revise the codes to remove the message errors? Go to the following URL link to view 'High Res' screen shots at http://cforedu.com/screen.pdf Here is the page code:<%@ Page Language="VB" %> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head id="Head1" runat="server"> <title></title> <script runat="server"> Protected Sub Save(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Dim First As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("First"), TextBox) Dim Last As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("Last"), TextBox) Dim City As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("City"), TextBox) Dim State As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("State"), TextBox) End Sub </script> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <asp:FormView runat="server" ID="fvApplicatio

Textbox Changed Validation - Best practise

I think is no secret that textbox validations on the TextChanged event is no secure. I mean there are some ways to avoid the control to raise de event.   One way used by me to validate is to delegate a button click into the blur attribute. First I create a normal button into a hidden div and then add this code in the page load: TextBox1.Attributes.Add("onblur", "document.getElementByID('Button1').click())   What I want to know is the best way to validade a textbox, because on my way there are problems in the navigation because if you dont set a focus on the next control in the Button Click the TAB INDEX navigation gets corrupted, if you do, the MOUSE NAVIGATION is avoided. So.. I hope somebody can help me to find the BEST PRACTISE to validade a textbox in the textchanged momento. thanks.

TextBox AutoPostBack not working when handling other DHTML event

I have to format a number in a TextBox while it is being typed. Right after the TextBox looses focus, I need to do other processing on server side, including some database queries.

I'm doing the formatting by handling the onkeyup event, client side. But when I add the handler, the onTextChanged event stops firing on the server. I've tried different return values for the handler but unfortunatelly I'm stuck.

To reproduce the problem, here is a sample where the formatting function was replaced by a simple "convert to uppercase" function. You'll see that, contrary to the expected, the Label doesn't get filled when the TextBox looses focus. It does get filled, however, if the user presses the ENTER key.

What can I possibly be doing wrong with such a simple task?

<%@ Page Language="VB" %>

<script language="VB" runat="server">

Sub Page_Load(ByVal Sender As Object, ByVal E As EventArgs)

'' Adding the event handler like this has the same effect as adding it inline

'txtTextBox.Attributes.Add("onkeyup", "return(upperCase(this));")

End Sub

Protected Sub txtTextBox_TextChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)

lblTextBox.Text = S

jquery - span text changed event

is there a jquery event that is fired when the text of a span element is changed? The change event does not apply to <span> elements. I see reference to "text changed", but $('#PriceCond').bind('textchange', function(event, prevText) { ... }) ; does not work either.

     <input type="button" id="TestButton" value="Test" />

     <span id="PriceCond"></span>

<script type="text/javascript">
  $(document).ready(function ()

    var clickFunc =
          function ()
            var s1 = $('#PriceCond').text();
            $('#PriceCond').text(s1 + 'x');

    var priceChangeFunc =
          function ()
            alert('in priceChangeFunc');
