How to approve SharePoint workflow task from mobile?

I have an intranet site for change control management system. Approval workflow is associated with the list. On new request creation or editing any item, approval workflow task is created and mail notifications are sending to the concerned person. Now approving manager login to the portal and approve the task.

Now they are asking to enable mobile access of those pending task and approve the same from mobile. How do I achieve this?

They DO NOT want to expose this site to internet or extranet.

InfoPath XML File SharePoint Workflow Edit Task Button, XML file is downloading

I am using the inbuilt Approval Workflow on a InfoPath forms library. Now in the Edit Task Page as well as in the Edit Task Dialog that appears from within Outlook, the InfoPath Form's link is given. But as the form is an .XML file, it just gets opened as a normal XML in the browser or gets downloaded. It should open within the Forms Server URL, where InfoPath form gets rendered in the browser itself. How do I change this? This seems to be a common problem posted by many.

Freezing MS Outlook 2007 when click on "Edit this task" button

The following was posted in a newsgroup. I have the same problem. Can anyone help?

"We have problem with freezing of Outlook. Please, we need your advise. Here
is description of our problem:

-       We created workflow by using Visual Studio 8 for Sharepoint Services 3.
-       Workflow is generating  tasks for users in standard Sharepoitn list Tasks
a has his own content type.
-       Notification email about created task is sent to the user
-       Once user clicks on the button “Edit this task“ in MS Outlook 2007,
Outlook freeze and it’s needed to restart Outlook.
-       If user click on the link for created task in body of the email, then user
is forwarded to the correct task in Sharepoint list Task

-       Outl.ook 2007 is freezing in all of the cases (in our testing environment
and in our customer’s environment as well)
-       This problem is not caused by content type. Outlook is freezing in case of
standard task with  default content type as well.
-       Outlook doesn’t freeze when we create testing workflow in Sharepoint
Designer. Anyway Sharepoint Designer isn’t solution

Edit this task button not appearing in Sharepoint Workflow documents

I have a simple custom workflow where the user uploads a spreadsheet into Sharepoint, upon which a workflow is kicked off for approval. However, once the document goes to the approver, the edit this task button is missing from the top of the excel. What is going wrong?

This only happens on this particular subsite. We don't have this problem anywhere else.

Cutomized Approval code approves first task but can't approve second task

My workflow has two steps. Each step starts an OOTB approval workflow.  I submited approval/reject from  infopath form.

The code below worked fine on the first workflow task.  The 1st task was approved and completed and  the 2nd task was created.  However when I submited the approve again for task 2.  Nothing happened.  I didn't get error message and the AlterTask returned true. But the fields were not updated and the workflow was not moving. The task wasdecided by this value 'workflow.Tasks[1]'

SPSite site = new SPSite("http://servername/");
using (SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb())
 SPList list = web.Lists["TestList"];
 SPListItem item = list.GetItemById(22);
 SPWorkflow workflow = item.Workflows[0];
 SPWorkflowTask task = workflow.Tasks[i];

 Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
 ht[SPBuiltInFieldId.Completed] = "TRUE";
 ht["Completed"] = "TRUE";
 ht[SPBuiltInFieldId.PercentComplete] = 1.0f;
 ht["PercentComplete"] = 1.0f;
 ht["Status"] = "Completed";
 ht[SPBuiltInFieldId.TaskStatus] = SPResource.GetString(new CultureInfo((int)task.Web.Language, false), Strings.WorkflowStatusCompleted, new object[0]);
 ht[SPBuiltInFieldId.WorkflowOutcome] = "Approved";

Getting around a missing "open this task button" in a non-outlook email....

I suspect I already know the answer to this.....  I have configured a OTTB Approval workflow on a meeting workplace site doc library.  Unfortunately, the email alerts go to a non-outlook email client. I notice I don't have the "open this task button" on email.  Is there a way around this? Say sorting out a link in the email as there is one that references the document I have to approve (see below).  I will I need to modify the workflow in SPD 2010 or is the limitation of not using outlook a show stopper.

To complete this task:
1. Review Daniel's Test Form
2. Perform the specific activities required for this task.
3. Use the Open this task button to mark the task as completed. (If you cannot update this task, you might

Embed "Edit This Task" button in custom email

We have a approver wf in SPD 2007 on document library.

When task is created we are sending a custom email to "Assigned To" person.

Now as this is custom email, hor to add "Edit This Task" button at top of email.

Is there any way of doing it.

Please suggest.

Problem to group radio button across gridview rows

In general no one can easily group or make a single selection from radio button list inside gridview rows. There are a lot of way to make a single or unique selection from list. Here i want to share how i can address this problem in the most easiest way. Googling the problem most of the cases i saw the grouping in horizontal way. Thats why i tried to group the radio buttons in vertical manner. Let i have a requirement like below:

Maintain HTML Radio Button Selection Inside GridView After Postback

Long time ago I wrote an article about getting the value of the selected RadioButtons inside the GridView control. The code did not addresssed the postback issue which means that the selected radio button was cleared after the postback occurs.

A Simple and Extensible Radio Button Style GridView

The GridView is one of the significant controls in ASP.NET 2.0 and later versions. No doubt it reduces a lot of work time. However, customizing the GridView control is not an easy task. For example, it's hard to add a radio button column to the GridView. This article demonstrates the reason why a radio button column cannot act as normal and how to create a simple and extensible radio button GridView.

Editable Gridview with Textbox, CheckBox, Radio Button and DropDown List

This is an example of an editable gridview containing different ASP.NET controls. When user wants to edit values in gridview, she/he can use these controls to edit existing values in Gridview Edit Mode.

Problem with Dynamic Button

Hi friends,

I am trying to make a page inspired from http://login.qlikview.com/help.aspx

here I have made a dropdownlist and on clicking I am able to dynamically add the textboxes and radio buttons using placeholders. My problem is I am not able to use a dynamic number of submit buttons. In the page (link above) I need to make the submit button available for two choices and invisible for one.  But the option dynamicbutton is not available alike dynamicTextboxes etc. What could I do? Is there any other way I could figure out to implement this.

Thanking you in advance,

Run Button Behavior: Suggestion/Bug

Note: This could be a bug or considered as suggestion. I am not looking for solution.

1: I have ImageWatermark.cshtml open and currently in focus.

2: I have Photo1.jpg selected in left Files workspace.

3: Now if I Click "Run", instead of opening ImageWatermark.cshtml it trys to open Photo1.jpg and it fails.

So ideally I would expect the "open file (ImageWatermark.cshtml) to run rather than running the selection from Workspace.

Button specific code

I have 2 submit buttons on my page. Right now, the only way to run the code behind with razor is to to If(IsPost). Since I have 2 buttons, how would I destinguish between the two in post? Is there a way to request a button that sent a post request?
