How do I change the height of a remote iframe

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 03, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net
<iframe id="hdnFrm" name="hdnFrm" src=""   scrolling="yes" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0" vspace="0" hspace="0" style="width:90%;height:90px"></iframe>   here is my iframe. This in on a php page on a different website. Right below the iframe is a form. The form posts variables to a page on my vb.net website. The codebehind processes the data in the form. The results of processing are sent back to the iframe above. When this happens instead of the height beinc 90px, I want to change it to a different number. How can i do this? Do I set up some type of "listener" for when the controls arrive? I read this somewhere.

how to change a remote partition into local partition

Our production cube is very huge and the process time is very long (10+ hours), and the data volume is still increasing. Since we have some idle server during cube process period, I'd like to try to put some partitions on the idle server to cut the process time. But I also want to bring these remote partitions back to local after the process is completed. Is it possible to change partition from remote to local? if so, how?

How can I change the height of the rows in a document library webpart view to minimize the space bet

In SP2010 documents listed in a document library view (attached as webpart) are quite far from each other (height of each row is too big). How can I change the height that spaces between the documents are limited to a minimum, hence more documents are visible on my screen. (e.g. if I have many documents in my document library and add a webpart to my page that should show all documents, I would see more documents if the height of the row would be smaller (e.g. 16px) and spaces minimized. Moreover how can I make a smaller height for each row the default height?

Remote Post to iFrame

I've seen many posts on how to post to an iFrame from the same page (target="myIFrameID"), but I'm to remote post to an iFrame.  It works fine when I take the entire page to the remote post, but I can't send it just to the iFrame.  The normal target="myIFrameID" doesn't work in this case.  Any ideas/help are greatly appreciated.  I'm not very good a manipulating the response object, so it might be something simple.  In a nutshell here is what I am using for the remote post.

        System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Response.Write(String.Format("</head><body onload=""document.{0}.submit()"">", FormName))
        System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Response.Write(String.Format("<form name=""{0}"" method=""{1}"" action=""{2}"" target=""{3}"" >", FormName, Method, Url, "frame1"))
        Dim i As Integer = 0
        Do While i < Inputs.Keys.Count
            System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Response.Write(String.Format("<input name=""{0}"" ty

How to Localize Windows Forms and Change the Language at Runtime

Localization is the process of customizing your application to a particular language, culture or locale. Visual Studio provides support for localizing Windows Forms with much ease. In this article, we will see how to localize windows forms and give the user the ability to change to his preferred language at runtime.
When you run a localized application, the appearance is determined by two culture values. The UICulture property is used to specify which resource files will be loaded for the form. The Culture property, on the other hand, determines how strings such as dates, numerals, and currency amounts are formatted.
Let us see the steps required to create a localized form. You can then expand this example and adopt the same approach for the rest of the forms in your project

VS2010 Professional .NET 4.0 Remote Debugging ASP Website Project

Trying to remote debug ASP website from VS2010 Pro to Windows Server 2003 machine.  Specifically, trying to debug a Web Service, but breakpoint says, "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document."  This happens for all compiled code though.  I have read this is due to missing PDB files and the work around is to manually copy them, as noted here.  Problem is, I cannot find any PDB files for my project, except referenced libraries, which I can remote debug.

  • web.config has <compilation debug="true">
  • Debugger is attached to wewp.exe process on remote server
  • Installed VS2010 remote debugger from DVD (as I can remote debug referenced libraries)

This is beyond frustrating.  I migrated my code from VS2008 .Net3.5 to VS2010 .Net4.0 to take advantage of the inherent multithreading framework.  Debugging works when using local host and was stable until deployment to test server.

Thanks in advance,

Bug: Does not change column type from nvarchar to ntext

Scenario: If you create a table with a column of type nvarchar, populate it with some content and try to modify it using the WebMatrix editor, from nvarchar to ntext, it does not display any error message or warning that this is not possible. It silently saves and reverts the change, back to nvarchar. Wasted some hours on this issue as I thought my column was ntext, but in fact was still nvarchar.

Expected behavior: It should change to ntext, or if SQL CE doesn't support that, it should notify the user that no change was applied.

How to change the default page base class?

I've tried setting the <pages pageBaseType="DynamicWebPage" /> value in web.config, but when I response.write out the page type, I'm still getting Microsoft.WebPages.WebPage.

I'm simply trying to sub-class WebPage and add some additional functionality such as a dynamic PageData dictionary similar to Phil Haack's dynamic ViewData dictionary.

How do I preserve __viewstate between cross domain posts or how do I get a __viewstate of a Remote S

Here is what I want to do:
I have a local site in which I want to display data from a remote site
Lets say: I want to display data of http://www.abc.com/Default.aspx on my localhost

Now Default.aspx requires some post-data which it sends to itself. Thus the __viewstate and __eventvalidation are posted back to it by itself. I want to directly post the data to Default.aspx from localhost without opening Default.aspx and display the Default.aspx's response on my localhost.

The WebApp on http://www.abc.com is configured for __eventvalidation i.e. I cannot post-data to it from my localhost without getting a __viewstate from it. I also have to post the current __viewstate of http://www.abc.com/Default.aspx to itself

How can I accomplish it?

SqlDataSource how to change the stored procedures at run time

Is it possible to change the select, insert and update stored procedure of an SqlDataSource at run time. I don't mean to change the definition of the stored procedure, but I mean to change the assignment, i.e. To change the select stored procedure from "selectSP1" to "selectSP2" at run time. Is it possible?
