We are current users of WSS 3.0 SP1 (MS SQL Server 2005 w/SQL Server Configuration Manager & SQL Server Management Studio Express) and are having issues with the following error occurring quite frequently when we visit pages on our SharePoint site.
Operation aborted (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004004 (E_ABORT))
Our research keeps brining up that the log files are getting large and are not being cleared. We are doing a Full Backup of our SharePoint Farm with BackupExec 11d so we are not understanding how to fix this. Does anyone have any suggestions...
Thanks in advance.

Resolution Steps (thereÃÂ could be various causes for this error but this solution worked for me):
- Run Administrative Tools > Sharepoint Central Administration
- Go to Application Management > Sharepoint Site Management > Site Collection Administrations
- Check if your name (the person configuring sharepoint) is primary or secondary administration
I have two small programs that I wrote in C# that are basically just executing calls to cuteFTP Pro 8 (a scriptable FTP client).
Program #1: needs to connect to a remote server using standard FTP protocol. This program works fine whether I run it or schedule it through the Windows Task Scheduler (Server 2003 Standard).
Program #2: needs to connect to a remote server using FTPS_IMPLICIT or FTPS, I've tried using either of these two protocols and the same result is produced.
If I run Program #2 on my user account while logged in to the server it works correctly, however if I schedule it through Windows Task Scheduler (in exactly the same fashion as Program #1) I get the COM error that I put in the thread title. A stack
trace shows that it happens
which is one of the cuteFTP methods. For the sake of isolating the problem I removed most of the functional code in Program#1 and Program #2 so taht they are identical other than the fact that one connects to a remote server needing FTP and the other
to one needing FTPS or FTPS_IMPLICIT.
Is there anything I can do to correct this?
The workflow is a 1 step Approval workflow. I'd published it a few time and it worked just fine. I then made a change to an "Email task notification" step.
I get a dialog when I try to publish the workflow:
Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files were saved but cannot be run.
(43, 3) Loading this assembly would produce a different grant set from other instances. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131401))
I tried the "Check for Errors" button and I get:
The workflow contains no errors.
Check for Error dialog
Anyone have any clues as to where I might start looking for clues? Nothing has been returned by the usual search engines...
I've just tried to create a brand new workflow and it's still giving me the above dialogs. :'(
I am new to SSIS and I am trying to run a script task, I have set up variables for username, password, etc in my script, but when I execute the task, it fails with the error System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. (Exception from
HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)).
Can anyone suggest anyway to remedy this issue.
I am running WSS 3.0 SP2 running the Feb 2010 cumulative update. I have a particular document library I am attempting to delete. When I click on delete in the GUI, I get a page that says "Exception from
HRESULT: 0x80040E14". Everything I've found so far on the web says this is caused by a SQL server that is out of space. That is not the problem in my case.
Additionally, I have looked at the logs in Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS and found the root cause. When I try to delete this document library, two errors are added
to the log. They are
When I try to add a SQL 2008 Failover Node, it nearly installs then fails at the end:
sql server 2008 exception from hresult: 0x80070490
I have cleaned up the failover node so there are no old SQL files on it.
