Dear ASP.NET I keep getting this strange error (below) on my local machine on the first time the page loads, Then if I reload it - it loads correctly... What is really strange is that it does not happen on the server (same settings)   I'm using AJAXControlToolkit.dll version 4.1.40412.2 and this script manager (if not I get the Common.Common.js error)<%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="AJAX" %> <AJAX:ToolkitScriptManager runat="server" ID="_scriptManager" AsyncPostBackTimeout="600" EnablePartialRendering="true" EnableHistory="true" />   I also tried to add this: <runtime> <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="Microsoft.Scripting.ExtensionAttribute" publicKeyToken="28f01b0e84b6d53e"/> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="1.0.0.0-1.1.0.0" newVersion="4.0.0.0"/> </dependentAssembly> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="AjaxControlToolkit" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35"/> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="1.0.0.0-1.1.0.0" newVersion="4.1.40412.0"/> </depende

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Diagnostics.STrace, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=

I am trying to use SQL Server 2008 Developer on Windows Server 2008.  Whenever I try to connect to the server, I get this error: "Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Diagnostics.STrace, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. I found some info at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ashishme/archive/2009/08/15/could-not-load-file-or-assembly-microsoft-sqlserver-diagnostics-strace-version-10-0-0-0-culture-neutral-publickeytoken-89845dcd8080cc91-or-one-of-its-dependencies-the-system-cannot-find-the-file-specified.aspx, but this didn't help me because it is not on my system, even after reinstalling both SQL Server and .NET Framework 4.  I also saw a this page: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqltools/thread/1115cd55-721d-4974-99b1-d142d1e6a927, but this also didn't fix my problem.

Cannot load file or assembly 'CLI.implementation, Version=2.0.2693.36850

All I wanted to do was update my ATI Catalyst and my video drivers... but no. I had to install a new version of the .NET framework. After installing .NET framework 3.0 from the Microsoft Updates page, I restarted my computer. Upon reaching the desktop, the ATI Catalyst Control Center would not open, giving me the message:     Cannot load file or assembly 'CLI.implementation, Version=2.0.2693.36850, culture=neutral, publickeytoken=90ba9c70f846762e' or one of it's dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.     I'm really not savvy with this stuff, and I have no idea what to do. I'd like to learn, if not for bettering my knowledge than for the purpose of getting my Catalyst to work again.. Please help!

Could not load file or assembly '0 bytes loaded from System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, Publ

Hi I have a clickonce deployed application in my machine. When I tried to load the application, 90% of the application window is getting loaded but finally, I get the following error: Could not load file or assembly '0 bytes loaded from System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. I have read somewhere that this error could be caused when something goes wrong with the .net framework in the machine. My machine is having .Net framework 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5. So which framework should I reinstall? The application is developed using .net 2.0. Also, please let me know how the application is partially loading(90%) if the framework is corrupted.? Regards Anoop.

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParserClient'

Sirs:

I've seen several posts on this forum about this issue, and several have been resolved, but I'm not seeing the answer.

On my Windows 7 machine with SQL Server 2008 R2, I have a Visual Studio 2010 project that uses SQL SMO.

The app runs fine on my machine, but when I publish to another server, I get Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParserClient'

If I go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=C6C3E9EF-BA29-4A43-8D69-A2BED18FE73C&displaylang=en

and install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Native Client , Microsoft SQL Server System CLR Types , and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Objects I stop getting the error.

It seems to me that I should just be able to properly reference what I need and deploy my project...

So- how do I deploy my project without needing these installs?

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKey

dear my firends,

i convert website to the vs 2010  but with the same target Framework 2.0.

i have the (System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0) in my BIN folder.

when i build the website using vs 2010 and publish it to the production server which running only framework 2.

i get these error

"Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)".

when i back to vs2008 and build it again and publish to the production server it is working great.

the question is .

Why vs2010 try to refrence System.Web.Extensions, Version=4.0.0.0 when compile where is the dll in the BIN folder is "System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0"

Thanks

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Vsta...

I was evaulating SharePoint Designer 2010 and InfoPath 2010 for my team so I installed both of them on my pc. But after I realize we won't have SharePoint Server 2010 for a while, I uninstalled those two applications.

Now the problem cames... when I try to publish a InfoPath 2007 form and it gave me that error message:

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Vsta, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies.

Clearly, Visual Studio 2005 is trying to find the assembly from InfoPath 2010, but it's been uninstalled already. So how do I tell VS to use InfoPath 2007?

Another question, how to force InfoPath 2007 to create the C# code project with VS 2008? It's using VS 2005 by default.

Hi All,

I am facing a strange issue with Policy Based Management. Exact problem is as below

SQL Setups

************

I have Lenovo laptop having 3 SQL instances installed on it.

SQL Server 2005 (x86) Developer Edition 9.00.4053  -- Named Instance : SQL2K5

SQL Server 2008 (x86) Developer Edition 10.0.1600.22 -- Named Instance : SQL2K8

SQL Server 2008 R2 (x86) Developer Edition 10.50.1600.1 -- Named Instance : SQL2K8R2

I configured SQL2K8R2 instance as a Centralized Server and registed SQL2K8 & SQL2K5 under this. I configured a new condition by using facet: MULTIPART NAME. As per this condition Table Should start with TEST_ in database TEST . Evaluation Mode set to              On Change: Prevent. Idea is if some one logs to database TEST and tries to create table with name other then starting with TEST_ then it should fail.

I Imported this policy on registered servers thru Centralized Management Server Action, as expected policy got configured on Registred SQL2K8 instance
