Health Analyzer reports "Product / patch installation or server upgrade required." and I can't seem

The text of the error is: On server SHAREPOINTSERVER, once all required products and/or patches are installed, perform an upgrade by either running PSConfigUI.exe or by executing the command "PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures". If a former upgrade attempt has failed, you may need to resolve upgrade specific issues before attempting upgrade again. Refer to the upgrade status page (http://sharepointserver:XXXX/_admin/UpgradeStatus.aspx) for information about current and prior upgrade attempts, and to determine issues that may be preventing upgrade from succeeding. For more information about this rule, see "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=142700". So I went to the server in question and ran the command line quoted in the error message and then I get this error back: Configuration of SharePoint Products failed. Configuration must be performed before you use SharePoint Products. For further details, see the diagnostic log located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\1 4\LOGS\PSCDiagnostics_....log and the application event log. So fine, I look into the event log and get this: Failed to initiate the upgrade sequence. An exception of type System.IO.IOException was thrown. Additional exception information: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\SharePoi

SSRS Product bug on hyperlinks with StoredParametersID

SSRS  - Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version 9.00.4309.00   Problem - When a SSRS report contains a hyperlink, and the hyperlink action is 'jump to a report', and some existing report parameters are passed through, the hyperlinked report will not receive those parameters if SSRS persists them in the database and creates the hyperlinks using StoredParametersID instead of the actual parameters.  This persistence happens only when the initial report is called and the total length of all parameters exceeds some maximum string length.  In my case, I have 14 parameters and one of them is a string used as a multi-value parameter.  The string is passed through to the stored procedure where it is parsed.  If I choose about 20 of the values, each one a guid, it will cause SSRS to change the way it creates the hyperlinks, and will persist the parameters as described above. The hyperlink will contain "StoredParametersID={key}".  In my configurationInfo table, I have StoredParametersLifetime = 180 (days) and StoredParametersThreshold = 1500 (number of params).  I can see the stored parameters in the StoredParametersInstance table, although I cant inspect the parameter values because they are stored as binary data in an image type column, and are not human readable.  So I believe there is a bug in the way SSRS han

Unable to enter the product key in the Convert License Type page (textbox is read-only)

We installed both WSS and MOSS SP2 and had planned to follow the manual fix for the known issue that the patch unexpectedly activates a trial expiration.  However, the textbox to enter the product key is read-only.  We have tried accessing this page using the normal administrator credentials as well as the farm account; no success. The SP2 issue and manual fix is detailed here, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/971620We were able to experience this problem on a farm running the Feb 2007 cummulative patch (version so it's not related to the SP.  But running the SP increasing the need to find the fix.Any help is appreciated,J. Product Key for SQL Server 2008 R2

Hi All, I'm attempting to install SQL Server 2008 R2 from the disk I received as part of my latest MSDN shipment (Disc 5003), and am being prompted for a product key.  However when I attempt to acquire a product key from subscriber downloads, I'm told that SQL Server 2008 R2 is pre-pidded.  So I am effectively unable to install except in evaluation mode.  Any ideas as to why? Thanks for any input, Steve
