Getting Intermittent Execution permission cannot be acquired error

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 02, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

I hope I can explain the issue as I am more of a business/end user than a SharePoint expert. We are running a SharePoint intranet (MOSS 2007) within a Citrix environment. On intermittent occasions, we are receiving the error that I will post at the end of this message. This is happening intermittently and we simply can not reproduce the error.   100% of the time, we perform an IISReset on the SharePoint server and that resolves the problem. I actually have a scheduled task to run each morning to reset IIS, but the error still occurs on occasion. (again, once the error happens, if i reset IIS, it comes back up).   Has anyone ever run into this issue? Any comments or suggestions? Here is the error message:  Execution permission cannot be acquired. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Security.Policy.PolicyException: Execution permission cannot be acquired.Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below. Stack Trace:   [PolicyException: Execution permission cannot be acquired.]    Syst

Error "user does not have permission to perform this operation" with User Instance = True.

I setup SQL Server 2005 / SQL Express. All works fine in SQL Server 2005.

I am connecting to a SQL Database from VS 2005,  Tools/Connect to Database. I set the Data Source to "Microsoft SQL Server Database File (SqlClient)" (meaning SQL Server Express) and User Instance = True, and Integrated Security = True.

The above is working successfully on all machines except my Laptop. On my Laptop, I am getting this error "user does not have permission to perform this operation". On my Laptop, if I change User Instance = False, it works fine. Also, If I connect to SQL Server 2005 it works fine only if User Instance = False.

I tried all kind of security changes, nothing worked. For example, I setup Everyone as Full Control for the Folder and the MDF File of SQL Server. I gave my user ID as sysadmin role in SQL Server Express. Also, I enabled creating User Instance form SQL Server Express, Nothing is working.

Appreciate your help.

Tarek.

Windows 7 CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 26

Hi I have migrated to a new computer using Windows 7, 6 gig memory, I7 chip (old machine had xp) and have installed Visual Studio 2008 and  SQL Server 2008 R2.  I get CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 262) when I try to create a new database.  Other posts (example:http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/sqltools/thread/28fee0ed-c7e2-40df-8f79-f513c9848f09/) work for Vista but I cannot find how to grant permissions.  Run as administrator (vista fix) does not work. I have admin privaleges on my machine.  There are no other accounts.    What do I need to do to update privaleges? Thanks and have a nice day.

I am using Windows Authentication mode in SQL Server Express. Checked this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms254504.aspx, same problem. I enabled User Instances and also tried to Disable User Instances. When I disable user instances, and then try to connect from VS, I get a different error, which is asking to enable user instances.

Wierd error during execution of SerializeReply of IDispatchMessageFormatter

I am trying to develop a WCF REST app as explained in http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wcf/thread/04640a45-1a37-4722-8ed7-9f75c155dc14 (which serves both XML and JSON at the same time). the error is in the return statement of the following code: Public Function SerializeReply(ByVal messageVersion As System.ServiceModel.Channels.MessageVersion, ByVal parameters() As Object, ByVal result As Object) As System.ServiceModel.Channels.Message Implements System.ServiceModel.Dispatcher.IDispatchMessageFormatter.SerializeReply Dim formatter As IDispatchMessageFormatter = Me.xmlFormatter If OperationContext.Current.OutgoingMessageProperties.ContainsKey(WebBodyFormatMessageProperty.Name) Then Dim webBody As WebBodyFormatMessageProperty = DirectCast(OperationContext.Current.OutgoingMessageProperties(WebBodyFormatMessageProperty.Name), WebBodyFormatMessageProperty) If webBody IsNot Nothing AndAlso webBody.Format = WebContentFormat.Json Then formatter = Me.jsonFormatter End If End If Return formatter.SerializeReply(messageVersion, parameters, result) End Function It gives the error as "The given key was not present in the dictionary." further going deeper the stack trace looks like the following: Encountered unexpected namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/envelope/none'. Sporadic .NET application crash with "Fatal Execution Engine Error"

I have a .NET application that runs for several hours.  It is a multi-threaded app that does some calculations and saves the results to the database.   On one machine in particular, it has been crashing recently with the following exception recorded in the Event Log: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4206 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (6C9D7B6E) (80131506) Faulting application AnalyzerConsole.exe, version 1.0.82.0, time stamp 0x4c76d28b, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.4206, time stamp 0x4bf4c6a7, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0011627d, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10. Sometimes it runs for hours without crashing, but usually it will crash eventually. Strange Problem - SSIS Fails with "Syntax error, permission violation, or other nonspecific error".

Hello, I have a strange issue while I am deploying a package to one of the environment server. I have 2 XML Source, in the DataFlow, and one will extracted based on a value of variable that is passed from run time (package is executed from a Job) and other will be extracted all time. The next Step I have is a Execute SQL Task in ControlFlow wihich will execute after DataFlow. This has 2 input parameters and some SQL query that uses the param. Now this one fail on the target environment with below error: failed with the following error: "Syntax error, permission violation, or other nonspecific error". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly. I got the error when I did a SSIS Text File Log. Note: If I run the package in BIDS with the same XML files it work. Also when I deploy the package to my Dev Server it works. When I compare the Dev DB with the target environment DB - Both are same. The Service Acount has permission - as I can see the DataFlow task completed. Another Point: The XML Load Data Flow that executes based on the Variable Value does not execute on target environment, even if the value is passed as "True" (It is Boolean Type) But this variable is NOT an input for the Execute SQL task that fails. I am not sure w

SQL Server 2005 x64: Intermittent "Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 10."

Hi, We are experiencing intermittent authentication errors "Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 10" on a customer's production server. This is a new server that has just been rolled out in the past several months. Rebooting the server appears to make the problem go away. We are using SQL authentication from a separate server that is running IIS. The application always uses the same username and password to connect. Server info: select @@versionMicrosoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.2047.00 (X64) Apr 14 2006 01:11:53 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft CorporationStandard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 1) select @@versionSP1 Sample error from SQL Server errorlog: Date  7/7/2006 10:53:24 AMLog  SQL Server (Archive #2 - 7/7/2006 12:20:00 PM)Source  LogonMessageError: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 10. MSDN (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms366351.aspx) lists various states for this error message but 10 is not included, and it says "Other error states exist and signify an unexpected internal processing error." Note: This was not a case of a transient error that occurs only when SQL Server is starting up - these errors occurred at a variety of times, two months after the server was last rebooted / SQL Server last restarted. Thanks for any help you can provide. Regards,-Frank.

Parent window does not get reloaded - Permission denied error

Hi, When a button from a web form (say parent) is clicked I am opening another form(say child). And once the child completes its processing, it has to reload the parent form and close itself. For this I am calling the below javascript in the child form: function CloseMe() {     window.opener.location.reload(true);    self.close();    } But when the browser tries to execute this javascript code, it fails and throws Permission denied error. Here, the parent and child forms are from different domains. Please throw somelight on this. Thanks!

User permission error

I have a VS 2010 website that is reading and writing to a SQL Server 2008 filestream. By filestream, I mean that I have a table in a SQL Server 2008 database that is configured for filestreaming (ie - the table has a RowGuid column and a varbinary(MAX) column that is filestream enabled). The website is able to read and write to the filestream just fine and has been doing so for months now. However, there is one minor detail about using the filestream that has plagued me since the beginning, and were it not for a hack - at least I consider it to be one - then my filestreaming would not work. The problem is that for some reason when my website makes a connection to the filestream (via the .NET SqlFileStream class) it always attempts to authenticate with the name of the webserver. For example, I have a brand new web server called WebSrvPrd01 that I just placed my website on (the one that is using the filestream). When I try to do anything that uses the filestream (either writing or reading to) it throws the following exception:Login failed for user 'SUPER-NT\WebSrvPrd01$'.At this point, I then have to go into SQL Server and add the domain and user SUPER-NT\WebSrvPrd01$ to the database and give them access rights accordingly. After having done so the website will have no problems and the filestream works wonderfully. However, I don't like this solution! It presents a bit

Intermittent SharePoint database connect error on SQL cluster

SQL 2008 Cluster has two SQL instances. Two separate SharePoint farms are "connected" with each SQL instance. SharePoint frontend servers eventlog is flooded with "unable to connect with database.." kind of errors for few minutes during diferent time interval. This erros occurs at the same time on both SharePoint farms. (Note that both SharePoint farm doesn't share any info, that is, each farm is running independantly). Someone suggests SQL box has some bandwidth/network issue. Enabled SQL trace. But not sure how to analyze. Can someone help? Thanks in advance

AppDomain unloading causes Fatal Execution Engine Error

After resolving my previous problem (by working around it, actually), I came to the point where I need to unload the AppDomain. After cleaning up all fibers that were created to be run in this AppDomain, my (C++/CLI) code runs AppDomain::Unload(_scriptDomain);, however, it terminates the process with a very, very bad error, according to the event logs: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4927 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7117851A) (80131506) The VS debugger crashes with a 'system error' in Debugger::HandleIPCEvent, which a web search shows as being no help. The (confusing) WinDbg stack trace is posted below: WARNING: HUGE STACK DUMPS FOLLOW (edit: removed due to falseness) [snip] I hope someone with more debugging experience than me can find out what's wrong with my program... I always get annoying issues when hacking on this! :(

SSIS Generic Error: The command execution has generated errors, more information?

How do I get more information from this error? I am just pulling from a csv file, looking up a couple values, and on match, updating a database with a stored procedure. I have made sure all datatypes match, and that there are no special characters in any of the records. I am importing over 3000 records, and only 4 fail, with this generic error, and I have scrutinized the data to the utmost. How do I get more information on this error? The lineageID is 0, what does that mean? In know it refers to a column, but 0 certainly doesnt relate to any columns. Thanks

Error querying SSAS cube.....permission problem???

I've been developing a BI solution with SQL/SSRS/SSAS 2005.  I've done all the development with an account that has full admin permissions on the server.  Now I am trying to give users access to the data without admin permissions.  When a user runs an SSRS report that queries an SSAS cube I get the following error:   An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)  Query execution failed for data set 'Division'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand). Since I don't get this message when I run the report I'm thinking it's a permission thing.  I set up a domain user group, 'SQL Users', and gave them access to the SQL Server Reports database and the Report Manager but don't know if I have to grant permissions on the SSAS database.  SSAS doesn't use the same security settings that SQL uses.  I added SQL Users as a role in my database but that didn't help. I'm not sure what else to try...

.NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.3082 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (000006427F44A4EE) (80131506) aft

This is a new server, which has the latest security updates and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Objects (for the application to connect to a remote SQL Server DB):

  • Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2
  • .NET Framework 2.0 (x64): (as a part of the SMO package install)

After install the Microsoft update KB951847, we are unable to start our application (It's a service application).

Error from the Event:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: .NET Runtime
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1023
Date:  9/11/2010
Time:  4:09:03 PM
User:  N/A
Computer: FLUFFY
Description:
.NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.3082 - Fatal Execution Engine Error
(000006427F44A4EE) (80131506)

From the Add/Remove program, the following were installed after the KB951847:

  • .NET Framework 2.0 SP2
  • .NET Framework 3.0 SP2
  • .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

I was unable to apply the patch KB913384 because, I think, the .NET 2.0 is at level SP2.   My only solution was to uninstall ALL of them (3.5 sp1, 3.0 sp2, and 2.0 sp2), then install back the base .N
