I have 1 dropdown in my sharepoint list with other columns. If dropdown value equal to 'xyz' i need to display some other controls, otherwise these controls should be hidden.
I'm used to working with VS 2008 and toggling bookmarks in aspx pages was very useful, however in VS 2010 I'm unable to toggle bookmarks using the CTRL + K + K or the actual "Toggle bookmark" button from the bookmarks tool. Is there an option to enable this on the ASPX page, it works everywhere else though.
I created a custom ASPX page to display data from a linked datasource in SharePoint designer. (Let's call it NewView) After creating the new page I inserted a web part zone then inserted a data view into the zone and attached the default master
to the page. From the linked data source, I added the columns I wanted to display in the data view and added additional columns from the 2nd linked list as a subview.
I copied the following code just after the </WebPartPages:SPProxyWebPartManager> tag and just before the <WebPartPages:WebPartZone tag:
<table class="ms-menutoolbar" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<td class="ms-toolbar" nowrap="">
<td class="ms-toolbar" nowrap="">
I want to add the new item to the list, the name of the list called "Mylist". I have the link in the another sharepoint site page.The requirment is when the user click on the link, the popup window will come and inside that "NewForm.aspx" of
myList will display. normally if we display masterpage also get display i dont want to display the masterpage. Just i want to display "NewForm.aspx" in side the POPUP window. How to display like this?
In MVC it's very easy to control routing.
In my classic ASP.NET application I want to "hide" .aspx extension
I can do it with new ASP.NET 4 feature: MapPageRoute
routes.MapPageRoute("login", "login", "~/login.aspx");
Now http://site.com/login will work. But I have more than 50 pages, and adding 50 rules is ridiculous.
How can I solve this?

I inherited a web site which contains many stand-alone aspx pages (with the .NET code in the page rather than in a code-behind file). I'm wondering how to debug these pages; I cannot set breakpoints in them (I can set breakpoints in the code files on the site without issue). I'm using Visual Studio 2008.
First time 4.0, the project is a complied DLL - is there any way to revert to just normal aspx and editable cs?
I have enabled customError in my web.config file and it handles 'Page not found' error for aspx pages or any other files types handled by ASP runtime. My problem is my application is on a remote host and when a user tries a url on my website that ends with something other than those files types handled by ASP run time, for example http://mywesites.com/sdkdhiufuhief.hei, it displays a detailed error page by the IIS which I really don't like the malicious users to see. It contains a lot of information like the physical path of the application.
How can I handle all 404 html error regardless of the file type and URL in my ASP.NET application?
The basic issue is that I have a html page that needs just a smidgeon of code on it. The issue is that I don't want to have to rewrite the whole page to be an aspx page and put all the text boxes as asp textboxes BUT I don't know how to refer to the controls on the page without doing that.
Is there any way to add a smidgeon of aspx code to a html page without having to rewrite the whole page?
All I want to do is update a textbox or two with some data.
I just upgraded to 2010 and converted my VS 2008 ASP.NET web application. There were no conversion errors and everything displays in the Design mode correctly but when I try to View in Browser or debug the site won't display. I just get a blank page untitled page displayed.
Can anyone help me out with this problem?
