Using Sharepoint 2010 and Infopath 2010 - I have a form that has a sharepoint list that it queries for data. I have tried to have it load upon opening the form and also had it query the data after it loads after something is changed. Either way
it makes this form extremely slow. Frankly it is not that large a list. (484 entries of company names, address, city, state etc.....)
Anyway, after reading some posts I saw a recommendation to use REST to query the list. So I set that up. I now have a secondary REST data source that loads upon form load. The issue is now that when I try to load the form I get the following error -
"The amount of data that was returned by a data connection has exceeded the maximum limit that was configured by the server administrator".
So I am looking for some advice as well as some instruction. First - is REST better, worse, the same as far a response time?
1. Using the traditional query list as a secondary source using a regular data source connection for this size list should I be getting this kind of poor response? My form is using some cascading dropdowns and some query rules.
2. If REST is the way to go, how do I overcome the error message I am getting?
