I have a really strange stuff going on... I have Anonymous acces disabled on my MOSS portal in Central Administration:
Central Admin->Application Management->Authentication Providers->Default-> Anonymous Access is
So I doesn't even have an option to enable it on any sites of this web application. But when I create a new
Document Library all users have read permissions to it though I left only
System Account at library permissions .
Am I missing something?
i want to create an infopath form that can receive the data out of the slq server database and edit the data in the database and then submit it.
here is what i did so far.
i created a data connection to a sql server database to SUBMIT the data.
also i created a data connection to the same sql server database to RECEIVE the data.
when i open the form the user and the user's details are already filled in the form, now i need to let the user edit the data in the fields or add a new data in a field and then the form need to be submitted to a temporary database to be checked first by
an approver and after approval the form must be submitted to the real sql server database.
i tought about that the approver just need to click a button and the data will be submitted to the the real database.
both the temporary and the real database has the same tables and fields.
i just need to know how to edit and submit the data to the temporary later to the real database
I have a situation where the department head dynamically assigns the reviewers depending on the document that is uploaded. To capture the reviewers I added a Collect Data Action and a "Reviewers" form field, with type "Person/Group" and checked the following
1. Allow selection od People and Groups, 2. Choose from all users and more importantly 3. Allow multiple users
Although I am able to enter multiple users in the form, I am able to retrieve only the first user I entered and the rest just.. disappear!
I have an infopath form that I published to a SharePoint Document Library. The fields in the infopath form pull from a Sharepoint list. When i create a new version of this form it pulls all the current data. And the columns in the document library reflect
the correct information and I save to the Doc Library.
I then edit the information in the SharePoint List. When I look back at the Document Library the columns associated with my form i just created remain the same(referencing the information from when the form was created) But when I open the form it re querys
the list and shows newly updated information. The columns seem to be static, but is there anyway to make the form static when it is saved? This way I can look at a form dated a week ago and see the info from last week, Open a new form and see the current info.
I am trying to submit my form's data to database using asmx Web Service method(Through AJAX extension methods i.e., Script callback method). My form contains lot of data, though only text data. This will be a very fast process, but still i want to get some advice from you expert persons that should i processd in the same way ?Or should i submit form data in the traditional way ?
Please give proper reason for your answer.
can someone help me with this?
i'm using wss 3.0 and infopath 2007.
i have a form that need to be approved by a specific approver.
first when the user submit the form it send an email to the specific approver and the form is also submitted to a library.
so the approver gets an email and the approver need to get the form submitted to his library.
the email part is working fine. now i miss the library part.
i think i need to use a workflow. but how can i create a workflow that assinged a to-do item to a specific approver instead of a group.
in my library i have the following fields:
form name, created by and aprrover's name.
now i need the workflow to look up for the name of the approver and send an "assigned a to-do item" to the specific approver of the form
Have a really strange issue here that I can't figure out and wondered if any of you have had this issue?
Basically we have 5 libraries and the infopath form moves between them and there is consistent promoted fields in all the libraries.
We have 4 forms per lib with all the same properties promoted.
But one of the forms does not seem to show it data in the table view (you can see it in edit form (SP Page)???) for lib 4 (it shows in all the others).
I can't determine why this is occuring and what I need to do to fix it.
Hi Sharepoint Experrts,
I'm trying to develop InfoPath 2010 forms that use External Lists that have been created in Sharepoint Server 2010. I have problems when testing the forms because access is denied to the external lists.
When I try deploying the forms to the sharepoint site, I cannot upload the form template because it says I have to be a member of the local administrators group. However, I'm running the administrator account used to install and setup sharepoint on
the Windows 7 development machine I'm using.
I also tried loading the InfoPath Data Connections to a data connection library on my Sharepoint site... I can see the files when I login to the site but when I try creating a New form from a Data Connection File, I get an error message "This location does
not contain any data connection files with the appropriate settings". What ARE the appropriate settings?
I'm just really confused about this because I cannot seem to be able to build forms that use data connection files loaded onto a Sharepoint site or central server....
I appreciate any help I can get!
WeÃÂ have created a MS InfoPath form with it's corrsponding SharePoint Document Form Library, but would like toÃÂ restrict the access to the SharePoint Document Form Library. After the user completes and submits the forms then he/she should not be able to go into the SharePoint Document Form Library and view the form. In order to allow users to fill out and submit an InfoPath form, Contributor level access is required to be granted. But Contributor level access allows them to view not only the form he/she has created but everyone else's which is not acceptable in this particluar situation. The solution we've come up with is to grant Contributor access to the SharePoint Document Form Library when the Submit button is pressed using stsadm grant the user Contibutor role. Then remove the access once the submission is completed.
We would be interested to know if there is a better process to accomplish this task. And, of equal importance, the coding that is required to execute this task.
