I'm exploring the usage of UpdatePanels in WebParts for MOSS 2007. The code I have so far for adding a test update panel is this:
LinkButton goButton; goButton = new LinkButton(); goButton.ID = "butGo"; goButton.Text = "Go"; goButton.Command += new CommandEventHandler(goButton_Command); goButton.Click += new EventHandler(goButton_Click); &
I need to set the Rowlimit and PageFirstRow properties of listview as parameters to Listview Webpart

Please provide me the guidance on this.
I am working on sharepoint 2007 and I was editing the webpart of the software and after adding the predefined employee search table, the server has crashed while trying to access the server remotely with the following error message:
Error in / Application
However, while trying to login locally I have no problem and can easily login.
What will be the course of action in fixing this error.
Also the site is complaining of an invalid certificate even after adding an exception.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a requirement to create a Outlook Task , from a custom webpart through code .

Actually, I set access to some of the WebParts to desired group of SP users. (Web Part edition->Advance->last option on the bottom)
Is there any way to list this access? I'd like to have some kind of list with WebParts and users signed to its.
how do i create a webpart for sharepoint 2010 that allows users to create their own subsite..
i create a webpage in vs 2010 which allows users to create their account by specifying username and password..and make it a webpart and after that for that user a subsite should be created under sharepoint 2010 top level site.....how could i achieve
We are using a third party wsp in our solution which directly adds the web parts into the web application store rather than the web part gallery(References to them are present
in IIS site's wpcatalog directory). We want to remove these web part files so that the users will not be able to add these web parts to pages directly. Or any other modification so that users will not be able to add these directly. Is there a way we can
do this programmatically?
I need to programatically create a webpart page on my sharepoint sit on the activation of a feature and after creation of that page, i need to add a webpart. How i will do that? Is it possible create a Webpart page dynamically?
I added this silverlight sildeshow webpart (http://www.sharepointevolved.com/blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?List=0586f39d%2Dc3f2%2D4f6c%2Db61f%2D2a33a3fcd95c&ID=27)
which customized a SharePoint data form web part with XML and XSLT to my sharepoint site which uses Active Directory authentication. it looks great (I published the webpage). but after I logout the system account, and login as my regular account with
Read permission. the silverlight webpart can't show up. I check the permission of the Picture Library. there is no problem. I can see the pictures in the Picture Library with my regular account.
Anybody has the same problem? how to fix it?
My webpart (wss 3.0, VS2005) initialy contain a listbox. Depeding on the selection made a certain amount of textboxes are to be created and rendered. Via these dynamically created / rendered textboxes text can be submitted (via a button), for futher processing.
I am not sure how, or where in the webpart code,ÃÂ to dynamically create these textboxes.
Maybe somebody can give me some advise on this topic.
Thanks in advance
protected override void CreateChildControls()
// Create and add the controls that make up the
// user interface of the web part.
scopesDropDown = new DropDownList();
txtQueryText = new TextBox();
cmdSearch = new Button();
cmdSearch.Text = "Start Search";
cmdSearch.Click += new EventHandler(cmdSearch_Click);
lblQueryResult = new Label();
void cmdSearch_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
a. Windows Server 2008 with TS Web Access installed and MOSS 2007
b. Windows Server 2008 R2 in Remote Desktop Services installed and configured.
The SharePoint web part is installed and I an add the web part in the site. But when I try to add the terminal server name I get:
TS Web Access was not able to access the specified terminal server. Verify that the computer account of the TS Web Access server is added to the TS Web Access Computers security group on the terminal server.
Any ideas why this is happening. I saw other threads with the same error and no answer yet, so I guess I'm not the only one having the problem.
