In my mysql I have an autoincrement id , whenever I add a new row into database I need to store this id in other table, so how to get this autoincrement Id back?
I need to develop an asp.net page that lets users search the "User Comments", "Agent Comments" and "SME comments" sections of the another application.
All of the comments are stored in the database as seperate columns and the difficult part is none of the comments are structured, Users can practically comment in any casing (Upper or lower case letters) using abbreviations or full product names.
I am using asp.net 3.5 ajax and oracle as the database.
Users need to be able to type in a keyword like "hewlett packard" and be able to get all the related entries - hp OR hew pack or hewlett pack etc.
I am not sure how to approahc this to begin with, any good search routines/techniques or custom grids available online that can be used here?
currently there are about 15k records in the DB and growing...
any help is appreciated.
