HiHow to remove the horizontal scroll bar from a TextBox on web form.I am using IE8.0<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" Width="99%" Height="250" Wrap="False" TextMode="MultiLine" ReadOnly="True"></asp:TextBox>The horizontal scroll bar is always visible weather there is text or not, in a disabled mode.And the vertical scrollbar of textbox flickers when I am moving my mouse cursor over anchor tag <a />. For textarea control the scroll bar automatically goes up. I am hiding and showing a div tag on click of anchor tag.Thanksgsalunkhe

Howto add selected item from dropdownlist to a textbox on the same form?

 I have been trying to figure out what the proper method is to be able to have a dropdownlist on the same form that holds a number of textboxes for properties. I am using a strongly typed typed view which was generated by the Visual Studio IDE so it contains textboxes for all of the properties of my strongly typed class.  The class has a few properties that can have a set of possilbe answers; I'd like to displat those possible answers in a dropdownlist and then when the user fills in the form and clicks the submit button the selected item would be transferred to the correct property. I have a solution but think there must be a better solution out there and was wondering if anyone might point me in the right direction.

So say I have a model with 3 properties, FirstName, LastName. and MaritalStatus.

If I generated a view for this then I'd get an aspx file with the following:

    <% using (Html.BeginForm()) {%>
        <%: Html.ValidationSummary(true) %>

            <div class="editor-label">
                <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.FirstName) %>

Can't Submit Form Unless Remove ASP .NET Server-Side Form

Something has been driving me nuts about a project  I'm working on.  Long story short: I have a small form that submits a user's name, email address, and a few hidden fields to an external vendor's website.  It works-but ONLY if I remove the "outer" ASP .NET server-side form!  If I don't do that, the page from which I'm submitting the form simply refreshes itself, and the form never gets submitted.

How to stop Horizontal Scroll bar on Panel?

I have a panel on a pretty basic C# page.  I've set the height, and width, and set thescrollbars = "Vertical".  However, on some pages, the panel adds a horizonal scroll bar.  It seems very random, and I can't figure out why or how to prevent the panel from adding horizontal scroll bars.   The content in the panel is dynamic from a sql database, and I use a Repeater to display the returned sql.

 Here is my code from my page for the panel.  Did I forget something????

textbox in the form but text_changed not working correctly

I got a textbox in my form and I want to when a user start typing in the textbox the listbox below the textbox will select the item that starts with that string

for example, it i type I

than in myserver side code will call that SearchString method which will go through that listbox and do the rest...

protected void CountryTxt_TextChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
        string s = CountryTxt.Text;

the problem is it only stops in the textchanged after I press the enter key; it doesn't seem to work just by typing the characters in the textbox...

<asp:TextBox ID="MachineTxt"
         runat="server" Width="42px"
         ontextchanged="CountryTxt_TextChanged" AutoPostBack="True"> </asp:TextBox>

Cannot Remove Form Template

I have tried everything! In Central Admin I tried to upload a new version to an existing template (which I have litterally done over 300 times for this particular form.) Something errored along the way and the feature folder in c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES was removed from the front end server and I don't have a copy. So when I told the form to delete in Manage Form Templates it stuck in Deleting. Everyone says use execadmsvcjobs, so I did, but nothing. I then tried all the stops.. removeformtemplate, removesolution, uninstallfeature (using the feature id obtained from a c# app i got code for on another blog. Now it appears as though the feature is uninstalled but the form remains in the list. All of the above stsadm commands completed successfully by the way. If I tell the form to delete again from Manage Form Templates, it creates a timer job in timer job definitions, but that jobs disappears on its own without any errors in the event veiwer and the form remains in the list. The only funtions I can't run are uploading the form or upgrading the form, all other stsadm commands complete successfully, but the form remains in the list in Central Admin, Manage Form Templates. Please Help!

Textbox Editable GridView in ASP.NET

This article describes how I made a fully editable gridview in C# using ASP.NET 2. The idea is that the GridView looks and works like an Excel spreadsheet. You see all the cells in the table, and you can edit any of the cells you like, and they are automatically updated (i.e. saved to the database). This is very often how people expect data tables to work in web pages, and I've often seen people clicking in vain on un-editable gridview cells, somehow expecting to edit them, and not understanding that they need to click an Edit button at the end of the row.
