Here I am back to my most favorite topics, configurations! Configurations are extremely confusing in SSIS. Here is the scenario we have. We have a development server X on which we developed a master package which loops through and executes various child
packages. All the child packages use a common configuration which is stored in a table on SQL Server. The master package also uses a configuration table for its connections and the SSIS repository.
All packages are stored in the SQL Server repository on X. We want to discontinue using Server X and start using a new server Y, hence we copied the solution, package etc., etc., from file system on X to file system Y. We then changed the SSIS repository
parameters for the master package to point to Y and saved it to the Y repository. All child packages were saved on Y and the config table values were also changed on Y to point to itself. WHen we execute the packages on Y, it still dumps data onto X.
I am not sure what we are doing wrong. Would appreciate any help or feedback!
