Triggers as you know is basically a group of SQL statements which will fire automatically on occurrence of insert, delete etc statements.

Normally a trigger fires based on the time and date settings provided.

There are two types of triggers :

1) AFTER TRIGGER - Fires the trigger only after procedure completes.
example - In shopping Malls some items have normal rates whereas some have discounts rated so depending on that conditions trigger will be fired.

2) Instead of Triggers - One procedure instead on other
example - Shopping cart where a person selects item and adds it to cart and goes back and selects another item and then adds to cart & after submitting it places the payment order and then it is inserted into the database. Now the items must be deleted from temporary table and session variables created when its use is over. So at that time a delete query is fired automatically.
