In this article, I've mentioned
the steps to create a SharePoint hosted app in SP 2013 Online.
How to create an app?
"NAPA" is the best
development tool for creating the SharePoint 2013 apps
SharePoint Hosted App:
- SharePoint-Hosted Apps are
manifested entirely within a SharePoint server and generally have no

hosted in our organization's SharePoint farm
- We can reuse the web elements,
like list, libraries and out-of-box things

"Before create the app we have to create developer site collection in your
SharePoint Online (o365)"
Step 1: Create
a site collection in SharePoint 2013 online with the "developer site template",
as in the following image:
Step 2: Then go to your new developer site
collection, we can see the site collection like below image.
Step 3: Then Click the site contents for add the "NAPA" app in your site collection
Step 4: Then choose "Add an app". We
can add "NAPA" from the SharePoint app store. Click on the "NAPA" Office 365
Step 5: We
can see that, it is as in the following image. Then click on the "trust it"
Step 6: The
"NAPA" development tool app will be added to your site collection.
Step 7: Click
on the NAPA tool, we can create the SharePoint 2013 app from "Add new
Then we can see the development environment,
In "Default.aspx" we can create the HTML control.
In "App.js" we can write the Java script code.
Step 9: Finally you can run your app
The app will be created successfully :)
