ASP.NET Versions :
As we know Microsoft released the latest version of Visual Studio Integrated development Environment (IDE) which is version 2012, ASP.NET is also released with new features and is versioned as ASP.NET 4.5 which has a rich set of enhancements and features which we will see in detail in this series. Prior to Version 4.0 we have a list of version like Version 3.5, Version 2.0, Version 1.1 and Version 1.0 which has a list of features that are introduced in each and every version by Microsoft. But when it comes to a Killer feature it was with Version 2.0 the whole set of website development has changed with a lot of changes over the architecture.
ASP.NET Overview :
In ASP.NET Architecture web clients communicate with the ASP.NET application that is hosted on to a webserver which is Internet Information Services (IIS) which basically a server which authenticates the requests. We can customize the IIS web server as per our requirement say, we need to do an Anonymous user authentication then we can do a customization by setting the changes in the IIS Environment.
