In this code example we will see how to download text file from other server using C#

Hello All,

Please find the code below to download the text file from a specified folder.

 if (File.Exists(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath(string.Concat(Path, "\\", FileName))) == true)
            {
                string attachment = "attachment; filename=" + FileName;
                HttpContext.Current.Response.ClearContent();
                HttpContext.Current.Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", attachment);
                HttpContext.Current.Response.ContentType = "application/text";
                HttpContext.Current.Response.ContentEncoding = System.Text.Encoding.Default;
                HttpContext.Current.Response.TransmitFile(string.Concat(Path, "\\", FileName));
                HttpContext.Current.Response.End();
            }

Hope it helps.

Thanks,
Maverick
