Posted By:Dhiraj Ranka       Posted Date: March 11, 2011    Points: 40    Category: SharePoint    URL: http://www.dotnetspark.com

This article describes enumerating all the RoleTypes of a list item.

To enumerate all the RoleTypes from a specific SPListItem then one can use following code.

SPRoleAssignmentCollection roles = item.RoleAssignments;
foreach (SPRoleAssignment role in roles)
{
        SPRoleDefinitionBindingCollection rbc = role.RoleDefinitionBindings;
        foreach (SPRoleDefinition rdef in rbc)
        {
              RoleAssignment.RoleDefinitionBindings.Add(rdef);
        }
}
