System admin      : can perform any activity in the sql server installation

server admin      : can perform create and manage the configuration,parameters & start and shutdown the server

security admin    : can perform login for the server

setup admin       : can manage extended stored procedures and linked server.

process admin     : can manage the processing the sql server

db creator         : can create and alter databases

bulk admin        : can manage the bulk insertion operation

disk admin        : can manage the disk files
